Unlike the first two days of the competition, ongoing in Mallorca, morning breeze on Wednesday was blowing a little harder, and start the first race was given at the time, reports correspondent Yacht Russia Anton Shibaev.

At exactly 10 am on the signal masts of the yacht club Club Nautico s’arenal, which are situated in 470, 49er, RS:X and “Finns,” flew the flags of the classes, and the athletes were pulled into the water.

The Bay of Palma is divided into several racing areas, and, despite the short distances, the wind can be very different – both in force and direction. So, in the start zone “semidesyati” the wind failed and blew from the South with a force hardly more than 5 knots. In addition to this wave coming from the sea.

It is this combination of waves and light wind very unfavorable to Paul Sozykin and Denis Gribanov. And unfortunately, it affected the results. In two races of the day, the leaders of our team finished in the second half of the “Golden” fleet – 34th and 23rd wards, that strongly affected the position in the final Protocol. Let’s hope that today’s children will be able to regain lost opportunities.

The second men’s crew – Christian Cech and Victor Tarasov – chasing in the silver fleet: they have the 11th and 24th wards, and the final 56-th place.

Alisa Kirilyuk and Angelica Chernyakhovskaya best arrival today was the third race in 16th place. In the end – the 28th place in the standings.

In the 49er class were great, the crew Jan Cech and Ivan Zotov, finishing in 4th and 9th places in the first two races and won the final! The guys started a little closer to the shore, and, according to Jan, they have the muzzle of 10-15 knots, which enabled it to develop excellent speed.

In their group there were three races, which is sufficient to complete the development and separation of gold, silver and bronze fleet. The first 25 crews will continue to fight for the victory, and I am glad that our athletes have a great chance. They are now on 6th place, and third is only three points.

Taking a well-deserved congratulations, Jan said: “Congratulations early, we lacked was stability. But the goal for this regatta we have done. The task was to enter the “Golden” fleet, and we did. We will continue to stay in the top ten”.

Good luck!
