According to RIA Novosti, Poland refused to let the territorial waters of the Russian sailing ship “Sedov”.

The reason is that on Board the “Sedov” cadets are Kerch state Maritime technological University. This was stated by the representative of the Polish foreign Minister eve of Suvar.

According to her, this decision was made by the Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.

“We believe that the admission of the sailing ship in the territorial waters of Poland would be contrary to the policy of respecting the territorial integrity of Ukraine and non-recognition of the annexation of the Crimea”, — said the Suvar.

As you know, on Saturday April 6 “Sedov” started its first training flight navigation of 2019 with 112 cadets on Board from the pier Svetlovskogo shipyard in the Kaliningrad region. The authorities of Estonia on 11 April refused entry to Barca in the territorial waters of the country, explaining that on Board are the cadets of the University “from the occupied Crimea”. In the Russian Embassy called the move unfriendly and Tallinn drew attention to the fact that the decision not to admit Russian sailboat was made on the eve of the upcoming visit to Moscow of the President of Estonia Kersti Kaljulaid.

In turn, the foreign Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin on Twitter thanked the Prime Minister of Poland: “Thanks to the Prime Minister of Poland Mateusz Morewelcome for the decision to deny the Russian sailing ship “Sedov” to enter the territorial waters of the country.”
