In Italy, in Naples kicked off the 30th summer world University games, the website www.parusniy-sport.org. After a break of 8 years sailing was again included by the organizers in the program.

The host country determines which 2 kinds of sport apart from the compulsory inclusion in the programme of the competition, and Italy was chosen among other sailing. Italian colleagues decided to determine the format of sailing competitions in races with a change of crew on the keel boats RS21 – a relatively new class of yacht for the crew of 4 people. For gender equality it is determined that the crews must be mixed and consist of two boys and two girls.

Each country is allowed from one to 2 crews, the issue of admission of the second crew is determined by the availability of lots and the queue of applications. To sorevnovaniy only students day students. Russia was given a lot just for one crew.

Our country in this competition is the crew of Dmitry Tretyakov in the composition of Dmitry Tretyakov (skipper), Ivan Volchkov, Marina Taran and Daria fedyanina. This crew was selected after the preliminary student competitions, held on yachts J/70 in the city of Sochi in March this year, where he confidently won a victory over 6 other student crews. Guys are behind a large number of starts for the keel yachts of this class in the competitions of different levels up to world Championships and Europe. In particular, Dmitry Tretyakov as a steering recently took 32nd place out of 134 participants in the European championship in class J/70. Great progress and the other members of the crew. Guys in General are loaded and ready to win.

In Naples they have to fight with strong rivals – the teams of Spain, Italy, Singapore, Japan, Germany, Australia, Austria, France, China, Korea, Switzerland, Finland. Competitions will be held in a tense atmosphere: the 16 teams are split into two groups and will undergo a series of direct for 8 races. The duration of each race assumes an average of 15 minutes. The last day for points will be determined by 8 teams, final and placement among them will be determined by the results of the final race.

The first launch is planned for Monday, July 8, the race will continue for 5 days until July 12. Wish our guys success and cheer them on!
