In Sorrento (Australia) ended the first racing day of the world championship RS:x men and women was held three races.
Men (70 participants, racers compete in two fleets) championship, captured a bronze medalist at the Games in Rio, the Frenchman Pierre de Kok – 4 points. This is followed by Kieran of Badloe (Netherlands) – 5 and another Frenchman Tom Hoar – 11 points.
Three Russians started the tournament, let’s say diplomatically, without gloss. Eugene Aivazian – on 58-m a place (88 points, parishes 36UFD – 24 – 28), Vladislav Burmistenko – 60-m (89 points, parishes 36DNF – 25 – 28) and finally, Alexander Askerov – 64-m (93 points, parishes 29 – 32 – 32).

Women (46 participants) the only representative of Russia Stefania Elfwina after three races occupies the 12th place – 38 points, parishes 9 – 16 – 13.
In the leading trio – polka Mayan Zarnowska (11 points), Emma Watson (United Kingdom) with 17 points and Lillian de Geus (Netherlands) – 22.
