Project 47-foot catamarans with winged sails from VPLP Design

The famous French VPLP Design Studio has developed a new concept yacht is a 47-foot / 156-foot catamaran with wing sails, called Evidence.

Using similar technology to that which resulted in the movement of the racing boats of the Americas Cup during the last two campaigns, Evidence requires only a relatively small sail plan for a total area of 400 square meters. In this case, its width is 16.6 meters and maximum draft up to 3 meters.

The Evidence catamaran provides good performance, stability and space of a catamaran, and as a bonus — simple, but innovative sailing rig. So guests and crew can enjoy the peace and pleasure of sailing the best wind energy.

The hosting plan is designed for 12 guests, there are 6 double cabins, including the owner’s stateroom on the main deck, which area is 46.5 square metres. On the main deck there are further two cabins, and three guest cabins located on lower deck. The aft on the starboard side, designed for 10 people, and completely separated from the guest occupying the whole building.

The deck of the catamaran Evidence is a small “football field”. 😊 There are plenty of opportunities to relax on Board, and comfortable beds for sunbathing. In the bow is a personal cockpit for the owner, and on the top deck sun loungers and cushions for relaxing under the sun, and a large terrace in the best traditions of the design of superyachts, complete with a Spa pool with a glass bottom.

Large storage space allows you to place on Board two tenders, water toys such as Seabob, and a full set of dive equipment.

Auxiliary assistance will come from two diesel engines Caterpillar C12 power of 490 HP, which is able to disperse the Multihull yacht to a maximum speed of 16 knots, and provide a comfortable cruise speed of 14 knots. VPLP
