From 13 to 19 August in St. Petersburg was the second time the “Baltic yacht week”. The event brought together national and regional regattas, themed entertainment and educational program for citizens and business session. In the framework of the opening ceremony of the “Week”, held on 13 August, was the start of the exhibition “the Russian sailing – 300 years”, telling the story of the development of yachting in the country. On Saturday and Sunday on the waters of the Neva in front of the Peter and Paul fortress is located more than 30 elegant yachts, including large sailing vessels “Nadezhda”, “Lucullus” and “Lady L”. Everyone could get on Board to get acquainted with the device of the ship and its crew. The scene was music performed by the St. Petersburg groups, on the banks of the townspeople were taught Windsurfing and water were demonstrating their mastery of the St. Petersburg athletes. The program “Baltic yacht of the week” also included the largest Russian professional regatta. This race the 4th stage of the “National sailing League” and “St. Petersburg sailing week”, which is more than 20 years, conducts the St. Petersburg sailing Union.
