“What – that was?”

The administration of St.-Petersburg sailing Union, despite a court ban, was on Saturday, February 1, the conference of the HGA.

The meeting, apparently, was short – indeed, that to discuss something? In any case, in 14.17 on one of the pages in the Network appeared the message:

“The conference was held SPPS. Audience members listened to the report, acknowledged the satisfactory operation of SPPS and extended the powers of the President, members of the Presidium and the audit Commission for 2 years”.

Then in a Network there was silence for a day or more. Apparently, the final communiqué had to agree with Sergei Alexeev and other bosses of the HGA. And only in the late evening on Sunday on the website of the organization got a lengthy message:

“February 1, at “Lenexpo” hosted the Conference of the St.-Petersburg sailing Union. The participants summed up the results of work for a period of two years and also extended the powers of the incumbent leadership of the Union. The Conference was attended by 78 delegates, representing 11 of the collective and 670 individual members of the Union.

The decision on the extension of powers made to avoid blocking of the activity of SPPS as a regional Federation. We will remind, the term of office of the current leadership of SPPS expires on February 15, while the Petrogradsky district court of St. Petersburg issued the ban to hold elections of the governing and Executive bodies of the Union.
“In a situation when the HGA is prohibited to change anything in the structure of the organization, the only way to avoid collapse of the sport – to leave at the moment as it is. Legal advisers have confirmed the legitimacy of our actions, – said Sergey Alekseev, President of SPPS, Vice-President of the WFTU. Otherwise, after February 15, SPPS will not be able to pay any account, to sign any document, the operation is completely stopped – up to failing to pay taxes, website hosting and office space, which houses a valuable archive. Therefore, we hold the conference, doing everything as planned, but no one elected. Note that we waited until the last of the protocols of election of delegates to our opponents, but they decided not to come,” adds Alekseev.
The renewal term of office is two years. The HGA is ready to hold an extraordinary full elective Conference earlier, after the restrictive measures will be taken.

The extension of the powers of the President voted by 77 delegates, 1 against, 0 abstained.
The extension of the powers of the Presidium voted 76 delegates, 0 against, 2 abstained.”

All of this document, sorry, the quote won’t, you can read on the website of the HGA. Here is just one fragment:

“Meeting participants acknowledged the work of the organization over the past year to be satisfactory and extended the powers of the President Sergey Alexeev SPPS and SPPS of the Bureau for two years. The Bureau: Alekseev S. P., Berezkin A. A., Brilliantov N. With., Dement’ev I. M., Ivankiv, V. M., Ignatenko E. S., Kosinski A. A., Loginov V. I., Ljubomir V. A., Perfilyev S. V., Razumikhin E. G., When M. S., Chegurov A. Y., Chizhik, L. A.

The conference requested the President and the Presidium of SPPS to continue smooth operation of the organization in all areas of statutory activities.

The delegates will assess the current conflict situation as an unacceptable violation of the principles and traditions of human, sporting and marine ethics that Deplete the positive performance of not only today’s sailing community of St. Petersburg, but also many generations of Petersburg and Leningrad yachtsmen and yacht clubs that need to be resolved in the near future through constructive negotiations”…

So. Well, instead of comment – quote Natalia Fedorova, which she posted on his Facebook page:

“I kind of want to say a phrase from a famous anecdote: “what – that was?”

The leadership of our sailing Union practically invented “a perpetual motion machine of the presidency.” Even the President yet did not think about. And it’s simple. The claim is filed, a court imposed support. Elections become impossible. So it’s something great! Now you can simply EXTEND the rule for another term. As soon as the epic lawsuit Vadim Pusheva, the current President or his supporters all you have to urgently submit the following claim and again to extend its powers. And so on to infinity… you are No competitors, you are no elections. Class!”
