This is definitely a sensation and breakthrough: women had never before been steering the teams participating in the America’s Cup. (Except that in 1995, the steering in the all-female crew of Mighty Mary was Leslie Egnot. But this team has participated in inter-wire then the selection – and quickly dropped out of the fight).
