The designer of the famous mega yacht Luna Roman Abramovich Frank Neubelt (Frank Neubelt) introduced the concept of a research yacht in The Tug. To create a “true universal Explorer up to 500 BRT” designer teamed up with the yard Conrad Yachts.
The most famous creation of Frank Neubelt — 115 metre yacht Luna is the third largest Explorer in the world.
43-foot The Tug has a steel hull and aluminium superstructure. He had quite a brutal appearance, borrowed from commercial tugs, a relationship which says the name of the concept.
Neubelt, describes The Tug as “durable, safe, reliable and cost-effective Explorer of medium size”. Reliability and durability is guaranteed, in particular, the presence of a double bottom, wide keel, allowing not to be afraid of grounding, additional protective screens on the screws.
The ship will be available in three different configurations aft deck.
The configuration of the Cruiser assumes the open aft main deck, which can be used to store tenders. There is enough space to place a 30-foot sailing yacht.
In the version of Voyager at the stern there is an additional platform that is connected a passage bridgecom, which can be used as extra lounge area or an area for parties. In version Explorer this additional platform is more lengthened to accommodate a helipad. Additional space for storage of tenders and water toys in this release is under the helipad.
Inner space “Tug” can accommodate up to 10 people, and for the owner there is a separate deck with a private outdoor lounge on the nose.
As standard The Tug is with diesel engines Caterpillar C32 1319 HP and propellers Piening. Advanced propulsion — diesel-electric engines Schottel pods plus EMS.
