      Taradin – in 13th place
In the capital of Qatar, Doha, on October 16, the first World Beach Games ended. Among the latter, men's kiteboarding competitions have ended.

Taradin - in 13th place

The three winners look like this: 1. Florian Gruber (Germany). 2. Nicolas Parlier (France). 3. Guy Bridge (UK).

Our Denis Taradin took 13th place. In total, 21 riders took part in the starts.

Recall that the day before, the women's kiteboarding competition ended. Elena Kalinina won the bronze medal.

The press service of the Krestovsky Ostrov Sailing School took a short comment from the school's trainer Alexei Chibizov:

– Well done guys, fought to the last! Lena Kalinina took third place, with which we congratulate her! Denis Taradin – 13th place. Despite this, I, as a trainer, was satisfied with Denis's performance.

Of course, this is not the result for us. We were preparing for these competitions, we passed the selection, but the educational cycle at the university made its own adjustments, and Denis did not manage to allocate time for a more thorough preparation. In general, the question arose that at least let go of the university, and we were able to speak!

Denis was not in the water for 5 weeks, but when the qualification began, everything turned out not so bad: good starts, stable exits to the mark in the first group of the first 5-7 athletes. At the end of the qualification, there was every chance to pull up from tenth to 6-7th place. But, unfortunately, on the last day of the competition the last two races did not ask. In the first of them, Denis twisted too early and did not go to the sign, and in the second he simply drove past the winds. The lack of physical form also affected the performance … So the result is what it is.

In general, these were excellent competitions of a pre-Olympic scale, a huge experience was gained. We don’t know if World Beach Games will be held in the future, but I’m sure that these games – the first in history – will be remembered by everyone. Super atmosphere, positive and intense wrestling!
