Set a new record!
For most of the participants in the Rolex Fastnet Race, the whole struggle is still ahead, but in the division, where giant trimarans compete, there is already a denouement.
Line honors, and at the same time a new record for the multi-corps went to the trimaran Maxi Edmonds De Rothschild (skippers Frank Kamm and Charles Codrélieré). The distance (officially it is, as you know, 608 nautical miles, but in fact the Rothschild left 664 miles astern) the new record breakers overcame 4 hours 2 minutes and 26 seconds in 1 day.
Macif Francois Gabar finished second, behind the winner (do not believe it!) By only 58 seconds. That was a struggle!
And finally, the third line was crossed by another monster – Sodebo Ultime 3 Tom Coville – with the result of 1 day 5 hours 26 minutes and 48 seconds.
