Calm start
Yesterday, participants of the XXIII St. Petersburg Sailing Week (SPPN) and the championship of Russia in the national cruising-racing class of yachts “L-6” started and headed for Kronstadt in the water area of St. Petersburg.
In the morning, summer heat fell on the city, accompanied by a complete absence of wind. The long-awaited breeze came only around noon, gradually intensifying: by 15:00 the wind gained strength at 6-8 knots.
33 crews from St. Petersburg and other regions of Russia, as well as a crew from Finland, took to the start. The yachts of the largest in the counting group “L-6 in the amount of 13 pennants, at the same time take part in the championship of Russia.
