15-year-old captain's name is Plato
The list of skippers for the Russian Championship in match racing for the prizes of the “Komatek Yacht Club” became known. The races will start in Yekaterinburg on May 16 at the Verkh-Isetsky pond.
The yachtsmen will come from such cities as Moscow, St. Petersburg, Saratov, Tolyatti, Rostov, Volgodonsk, Chelyabinsk, Miass.
Three teams were selected from Ekaterinburg. Two of them will be headed by skippers who wear the same surname. This is Alex Stupka and his son – Plato. The young helmsman this year is 15 years old.
The list of participants included the girl captain Anastasia Kabkova from Saratov.
Who will be the winner of the first match races of the season in Yekaterinburg will be found out on May 20.
