The Dutch shipyard Van der Valk has held 23 – 26 March, at its site in Valice event called Experience Event. Annual open Days allow yacht owners and potential clients a look behind the scenes and see the process of working on the latest projects. This year the event coincided with the fiftieth anniversary of the shipyard.
The guests were shown the new production hall. This modern platform will allow you to build a motor yacht in excess of forty feet in length and three decks high. The roof and walls of the shop were finished to the open Days, the rest will be ready in the coming weeks.
Visitors were shown a newly built four yachts Flybridge series (18-meter, two 23-foot and 27-foot), two 26-metre yacht Raised Pilothouse series, a 25-metre Explorer series, four series Aft Cabin (15-foot, 19-foot and two 20-metre-high) and 19-metre new BeacClub 600. Guests were able to personally meet some of the makers of these boats – an engineer-designer Garona Gentona and designers Guido de Groote and Korom Di the Rover.
The body of the Explorer will be completed in July 2017. The 25-metre yacht entirely of aluminum project Guido de Groot provides exceptional volume for its size. Potential buyers have the opportunity to skip the waiting period and experience the unique dignity expedition vessel already in the coming season.
The future owner is still margin to design the interior according to their style, including floors, ceilings, upholstery and some of the machinery and equipment. Van der Valk always individualisieren their yachts on the basis of special preferences of buyers, and this time the Builder is also ready to do it.
In General, the Builder describes the interior as refined and practical. Eight guests will be comfortably accommodated in four cabins – apartment owners Suite, double and two shelves. The cabin is designed for four crew members.
The main salon behind the Banquet hall surrounded with seats in the shape of the letter C. in the Middle, behind the wheelhouse is a day head and the galley. On the upper deck second helm station, more seats, a full bar, and in the stern – storage for the tender.
The whole yacht semi-displacement hull with rounded cheek-bones, developed in cooperation with the Bureau of Ginton Naval Architects, which provides significant fuel savings. Lightweight design and large fuel tanks determine an impressive power reserve. Steam engines Caterpillar C12 ACERT 390 HP will drive the yacht to a maximum speed of 12.8 per node.
The first yacht Explorer series, also known as the Continental Four, the – Santa Maria T total length of 36.8 meters, appeared in 2015.
