Two hundred million!
Yesterday it became known that the owner of the new SailGP racing series, the American billionaire Larry Ellison, sold some of the shares in this series to the bosses of Endeavor Group Holdings.
Which part of the shares went to Endeavor is not reported (but in any case, much less than a controlling stake). But for the first time, the current cost of the entire SailGP has become known. And she, imagine, is 200 million dollars! Amazing!
It is amazing because the announcement of the creation of a new series – SailGP, where national teams will compete on F50 high-speed catamarans – was less than a year and a half ago, and in three weeks only its second season starts in Sydney. The series is still a beginner, but obviously with a golden ebb.
In general, they say about Larry Ellison that everything he touches turns into gold. Here is one more proof that this is not a joke.
