Thank you Togliatti!
According to the VFPS press service, on Wednesday in Tolyatti, in the water area of the Kuibyshev Reservoir, the medal races of the Russian Championship in Olympic yacht classes, which are qualifying for the national team, were held.
The main competition of the country was attended by 187 sailors from 32 cities of Russia. The ten strongest in each class took part in the medal races according to the results of the previous days of the regatta.
“The Russian championship is over, the format has been fully completed: they held 10 races plus a medal at the dinghies, and 16 races at the Scythians,” said Anastasia Chernova, chief judge of the Russian championship. – The wind during the championship was good. Unfortunately, one day we didn’t have any races at all, but later, due to the fresh stable wind, we made up for the whole program. Today the race day began with class 470, the wind was about 11-12 knots. By the last launch – in the Laser-Radial class – the wind increased to 17 knots. Good working weather. ”
Representatives of class 470 were the first to start the medal race. In this class, the undisputed leaders are Pavel Sozykin and Denis Gribanov.
“We won the medal race, like everyone else,” said Pavel Sozykin. – In general, the class is developing, a lot of young people, but at present we are much more experienced than them, so we have a huge advantage. I hope everyone will catch up, will train and reach the highest level. "
“This regatta had a good fresh wind. We were ready for this, since we trained in similar conditions for a month and a half. We were better prepared, and therefore the result is obvious. ”
2nd and 3rd places in class 470 were taken by crews Timofey Grigorin-Ryabov / Alexei Safonov and Boris Kucherenko / Andrey Yadrin.
As predicted, women with gold leave Togliatti Alisa Kirilyuk and Angelika Chernyakhovskaya, who stably and with a wide margin from their rivals went through all the championship races. Crews Anastasia Shcheglova / Lyudmila Dmitrieva and Ekaterina Ermakova / Polina Sukhova took 2nd and 3rd places, respectively.
In the Laser Standard class, in all the races of the Russian Championship, including the medal one, Sergey Komissarov dominated. 2nd and 3rd places at Maxim Nikolaev and Daniil Krutsky.
“The medal race took place in a strong wind, I was ready for it,” Daniil Krutskikh shared. – In the medal race, I came second, in my opinion, this is very good. On points I have the 3rd place in the championship, for me this is an excellent result. ”
In the Laser-Radial class, the intrigue remained until the last day, since the gap in points in the first three was small. As a result, the victory went to Maria Kislukhina, Valery Lomatchenko took 2nd place, and Ekaterina Zyuzina took 3rd place.
“I managed to become the first! – said Maria Kislukhina. – But anyway, before the last races I was worried, because the girls are all strong. We are all of the same level, each can win, so I realized that you can’t be wrong. "In the medal race, I tried to calm down and not pay attention to the attacks of rivals."
In the Finn class, Arkady Kistanov confidently won the Russian Championship: “The plan has been completed, I am satisfied. For me, the championship began a little nervously due to difficult weather conditions and due to the fact that the rivals did not allow to relax. When the wind blew, I began to feel comfortable. There were no surprises today, everything went according to plan. ”
Two yachtsmen fought tightly for 2nd and 3rd places. In the medal race, Evgeny Deev finished second, and Yegor Terpigorev finished third. And it was this result that allowed Eugene to snatch silver from Yegor at the cost of one point!
In the classes of the 49th and 49th FX, according to the rules of the competition, there was no medal race, today the final 16th race was held in these classes.
Champions of the 49th class, as expected, with a margin of 14 points from the closest pursuers, were Jan Cech and Ivan Zotov. 2nd and 3rd places were taken by the crews Konstantin Nosov / Alexander Gaydenko and Denis Shcheglov / Pavel Karachov.
In the 49th FX class, Zoya Novikova and Diana Sabirova dominated throughout the regatta. Behind them, with a lag of 15 points, the crew of Marina Taran / Angelina Markova finished, Anastasia Mogilnaya with Yana Stokolesova took 3rd place.
“Today the championship of Russia has ended. This is a kind of apogee, when everything is decided, when the intensity of passions is high, – shared the head coach of the Russian team Natalia Ivanova. – In general, the Russian championship went well. I looked at the guys in different winds: somewhere I was satisfied, somewhere not very. In some classes, the presence of youth who are taking leadership positions is encouraging. Somewhere a little stagnation, which is associated with big changes: new Olympic classes are being introduced, and some classes are leaving. Young people simply don’t go to these classes, realizing that this is the last championship to be selected for the Olympic team. The main thing is competition, an engine on a global level. It’s hard to motivate yourself without worthy rivals. ”
Champions of Russia are:
49th – Jan Cech / Ivan Zotov
49th FX – Zoya Novikova / Diana Sabirova
Finn – Arkady Kistanov
Laser Standard – Sergey Komissarov
Laser Radial – Maria Kislukhina
