Rothschild wins Brest-Atlantiques
Early this morning, Maxi Edmond de Rothschild trimaran finished in Brest (France). Skippers Frank Kamma / Charles Codrelier (as well as the reporter Jannes Rio, on board) spent 28 days, 23 hours, 24 minutes and 46 seconds to cover the Brest-Atlantiques marathon with a length of 14400 nautical miles.
Over the past 24 hours, the Rothschild has traveled 734 miles – this is one of the best results shown by this trimaran during the race.
The other two competitors – Macif trimarans (Francois Gabard / Gwenole Gaine) and Actual Leader (Yves le Bleve / Alex Pella) are 1524 and 1628 miles respectively. Their appearance in Brest is expected on Saturday.
