In recent months we are closely watching the situation in Europe. But the pandemic has affected even the most remote areas on the other side of the globe. Today we will tell you how things are going with quarantine in the countries belonging to the Pacific ocean.
- The Galapagos. Entry is restricted to yachts in need of some help (water, fuel, food, spare parts). These yachts allowed yacht Parking in the two marinas. - Vanuatu. Closed for input indefinitely.
- New Caledonia. Closed to foreign yachts are allowed emergency calls, but only on the island of Noumea.
- New Zealand. Closed to all except its own citizens and permanent residents. Talk about the opening of the Islands to the arrival of the yachts under way (there is a powerful lobby of the yacht), but to no avail.
- Australia. Closed to all except its own citizens and permanent residents.
- Marshall Islands. Closed for entry until June 5 (what happens next is unknown).
- Palau. Closed until 15 June.
- GUAM. Open to all boats, but required a two week quarantine on Board.
- Hawaiian Islands. Opened, foreign yachts are required a two week quarantine.
