Crime and Punishment
Five weeks continued in Bristol the trial of a group of intruders who tried last August to deliver 1.4 tons of cocaine on a Nomad sailing catamaran to the UK from Suriname.
The approximate "street" value of this cargo was 112 million pounds (more than 147 million dollars!). Fortunately, drug dealers did not have time to get to the British coast – they were detained by officers of the National Crime Agency.
The court found the international group of intruders – two Englishmen, a Dutchman, an Estonian and a Latvian – guilty of all the crimes incriminated to them. Specific penalties will be announced later.
