Taradin – the eighth, Elfutina – the tenth

In Marseille, where the finals of the 2019 World Cup finals in Olympic events are being completed, today, on June 8, 6 medal races took place. Representatives of the Russian national team took part in two of them. From these disciplines and begin.

Taradin - the eighth, Elfutina - the tenth

The highest result among ours in Marseille showed Denis Taradin. In kiteboarding competitions, he became the 8th (102 points). Denis took the same place in the medal race.

The winner of the World Cup final was Frenchman Nicolas Parlier. He won very confidently: he was the first in the medal and nine more races, scored a total of only 20 points. Note that silver and bronze are his companions in the French team – Teo de Ramekur and Axel Mazella (both have 37 points each).

In women in the RS: X, Stefania Elfutina became a member of the medal race, but, alas, turned out to be the last, the tenth. In the final table, she is also the tenth (89 points). It remains to hope that Stephanie will gradually pick up his former form.

Dutch Lilian de Geus won here – 33 points. And she won, we can say, with a clear advantage: ahead of the second prize winner – Saskia Sills from the UK – by 23 points!

Now about other disciplines, where the winners were determined.

RS: X, men. 1. Mattia Camboni (Italy). Russian Yevgeny Ayvazyan took 23rd place in the final protocol.

49er. 1. Federico Alonso Tellecea / Arturo Alonso Tellecea (Spain).

49erFX. 1. Julie Bossard / Aud Companne (France).

Nacra 17. 1. Vittorio Bissarro / Maelle Frascari (Italy).

Medal races in the remaining five types of programs will be held tomorrow, June 9th. We hoped that Pavel Sozykin and Denis Gribanov would be able to take part in one of them – at 470 for men – but … They took only 18th place.
