Cyber Gold – by Alexey Voloshenko
According to the press service of the National Sailing League, on April 27-28 the first in the history of the project online regatta NSL Virtual Cup took place in the online simulator Virtual Regatta InShore.

Cyber Gold - by Alexey Voloshenko

The first virtual regatta registered 96 participants, which were divided into six groups. On Monday, April 27, qualification starts took place. Each of the groups held five races in class J / 70 boats. Virtual waters were conquered by athletes of all ages, performing in various classes of yachts. After seven hours of online racing, a list of semi-finalists was determined – the top 5 members of each group.

Both semi-finals took place on Tuesday, April 28th. Over 10 races, the best e-sportsmen were identified. Final starts were no less exciting than real sailing races. The fight was, though dense, but honest. If the leader of the finals was outlined immediately, then the rest of the fleet was constantly mixed up. After the five final races, the first cyber gold of the National Sailing League standings went to Alexei Voloshenko.

“Virtual regattas are what quarantine yachtsmen need to do. Very strong racers gathered at this regatta, with whom we had crossed on the water before, ”says Alexey. – I met this online simulator in 2018, and trained all winter 2018-2019. Online experience helps very well in real regattas. ”

The cyber silver of the individual competition won the first number of the Russian national team in the Olympic class of yachts, 49th Ivan Zotov.

“I joined Virtual Regatta in June 2019. But I have been sailing since I was 9 years old, so this experience helps a lot in online racing, ”says Ivan. – Now everyone is forced to sit in cyberspace in order to somehow entertain themselves and train. In online racing there are some nuances that are not in real racing, but this is a great chance to improve your tactical skills. "

The bronze cyber-medal of the individual classification was obtained by Dmitry Tretyakov.

“There are moments in a virtual regatta that are identical both in the game and in real water races. This is the choice and protection of the starting position, the decision on the first turn after the start and positioning in the fleet, ”says Dmitry. – The impressions about the regatta are the most positive! He qualified without any special problems, but a strong fleet gathered in the finals, which did not allow him to relax. Each of the 10 riders claimed victory. The other day, I managed to conduct a virtual training session, maybe that’s what helped me. ”

To preserve the spirit of the National Sailing League, a standoff was also conducted in two divisions – Higher and Premier. Representatives of the League teams defended not only their honor, but also the honor of their team. Thus, the “Akhmat” team, represented by Oleg Kuzmin, became the winner of the virtual regatta in the High Division. Matryoshka (Ivan Volchkov) took the second place, RUS7 (Vitaliy Rozhkov) took the third place.

Among the teams of the Premier Division, the debutant ZIGZAG became the best. Denis Kataev, representing the team, became the finalist of the NSL Virtual Cup. In second place in the team standings is another finalist Andrei Ignatenko from UGAR CREW. Daniil Deyanov obtained a bronze medal for his Rosmorport team.

Today

      Gold is with Daniel!
We waited for this – and waited! The victory of Daniel Krutskikh in Melbourne today ended the world championship in the class "Laser Radial". Hurrah! Congratulations from Yacht Russia!

Gold is with Daniel!

The world championship was attended by 66 riders. 9 races were held, and Daniel took the lead with the very first of them. Here is a series of his parishes – 1 – 1 – 2 – 2 – 6 – 5 – 2 – 3 – (22). In total, 22 points were obtained (with one throw).

The Russian player was far ahead of his rivals: Michael Compton, who took second place from Australia, had 42 points, and Nick Pletikosa (Slovenia), who finished third, had 47 points.

Note that so far the best result of Russian racers in this class was Andrei Kirilyuk silver, won in 1996.

“The regatta passed in different winds, we always walked very tightly with rivals – there were no breaks, even if you went first, there is always a forwind on which they can overtake,” Daniil told the RUS Youth Sailing Team. – Therefore, each race was like the last for me, so I had to work to the maximum, to the end! When all come out together, it’s hard moral, so it’s very easy to throw one or two races. I had no task to walk first – my task was to walk stably. As a result, all the parishes are in the top five – and this helped me pretty much to break away from my closest rivals. Yes, due to the fact that the World Cup is held in Australia, many local athletes have performed. All of them are strong guys, walk their whole life in a strong wind. By the way, it was hard on the fordewind, because they know the wave better and in some fordewind they came off 100 meters! But, anyway, I made the main backlog for myself on the first tack, tried to break out into the first group – among the first five to ten people, because it’s much easier to race there, and, of course, I hoped for luck! ”

“I also want to thank my coach Vladimir Krutsky. He set me up before each race, spoke his feelings on the tactics of how he sees this picture. I listened to his words. Also, I thank my Krestovsky Island team. All the great fellows, without them there would have been nothing of this! ” – said Daniel.

      Oleg Vasiliev has gold!
Our special correspondent Viktor Akatsevich transfers from Sweden, where the European Championship in ice boating was held in the Monotype XV class:

Oleg Vasiliev has gold!

So, the European Championship in ice boating in Sweden is over. Unfortunately, only five races were possible. Despite the excellent condition of the ice, for the past three days there has been no wind in the race.

Following the results of the races, the Russian racer Oleg Vasiliev took first place and became the three-time European champion! This is a great achievement of domestic sports, given the high class of athletes from other countries.

In addition, for the first time in many years, Russian bouler Anton Didenko managed, as you already know, to take third place at the World Championship in the class of DN buer. This is truly a historic event!

Well, I am finishing my reporting with this magnificent holiday of sand sports. See you soon on the pages of Yacht Russia!

In Geelong (near Melbourne), the world championships in the Olympic classes 49er, 49erFX and Nacra17 ended today.

Gold took Blair and Tuke!

In the 49er class, who would you think? Won the most titled modern day sailors, New Zealanders Peter Burling and Blair Tuke. We won’t list all their achievements right now (this is a long story), we’ll just say that the Olympic champions of Rio 2016 together win already at the 6th World Championship in 49er!

Before the final day of the regatta, Burling and Tuke took the second place – however, they were only a point behind the Austrians Benjamin Bildstein and David Hussl. Well, today everything quickly became clear – after the New Zealand stars came first twice in the two final races.

As a result, Burling and Tuke have 38 points. In second place are the Spaniards Diego Botin and Iago Lopez Marra – 58. While Bilstein and Hussel remained fourth in all, they have 61 points.

2020 World Championship

In 49erFX, Tamara Echegoyen / Paula Berselo (Spain) became champions – 42 points. Castling also happened here: the leaders until the last day, Charlotte Dobson / Saskia Tidey (Great Britain) eventually finished second – – 52.

2020 World Championship

And finally, Nacra17. The first and second and then changed places. British Championship John Gimson / Anna Burnett – 67 points. Australian brother and sister Nathan and Haley Outterwich received 68 silver awards.

2020 World Championship

P.S. Recall that the Russian yachtsmen in the regatta, which was held in Geelong, did not participate.

Gold Cup Launched

The Finn Gold Cup is the most important regatta of the class, during which the world title is played. 60 riders from more than twenty countries came to participate in the current Golden Cup. But the Russians this time not. Apparently, the leaders of the team judged that Melbourne is far away, the costs of a business trip are huge, and the chances of success …

But let's not talk about sad things. You already know that two New Zealanders took the lead. Josh Junior won the first race and finished fifth in the second. Andy Maloney, on the contrary, in the first race was 5th, and won the second. In third place is the Croat Nenad Bugarin – parishes 8 – 2.

      Elfutina already has gold
In Sochi, the main national competition of the season in the Olympic windsurfing class is nearing completion on the basis of Yug Sport Federal State Budgetary Institution. On the penultimate day of the regatta, Stephanie Elfutina secured her first place. Here is what the press service of the VFPS reports:

Elfutina already has gold

© Leonid Dubeykovsky

From the very beginning of the championship, its participants were waiting for the wind. And he was lazy and blew weakly. But on Saturday, finally, took pity on the athletes: the race was held in the wind from 10 to 15 knots. The picture was supplemented by waves of almost three meters.

The organizers of the regatta held seven races: four in men and three in women.

After the second race of the day, it became clear that the leader of the Russian national team Stefania Elfutina secured an early victory in the championship. The rivals did not even have a theoretical chance to beat the bronze medalist of the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. In 11 races with two emissions, Stephanie scored 10 points.

“Stefania was just rolling this regatta,” said the trainer of the athlete Viktor Ayvazyan. – She needed to take no lower than fourth place in order to officially become the first number of the team. In principle, Stefania has already selected for the Games in Tokyo. She is now in good shape, and further we will work on an increasing basis. Now there will be an adjustment of plans, we will see where to train. Most likely, it will be Vilamoura or Cadiz. Then we will go to the World Cup in New Zealand, unless, of course, they transfer it. ”

But for a silver and a bronze medal a tough battle unfolded. An athlete from St. Petersburg Anna Hvorikova finished third in the first race, and then twice lost only to the team leader.

“Finally, a fresh wind came, and we normally went on the fins – everything was as I like,” Anna Hvorikova shared after the races. – In the first race, I came to the first sign of the leader, and with a good margin, but tactically wrong – very early turned into the shore. And there the wind, firstly, is weaker, and secondly, it’s a little “setting.” Plus there was a strong current, people "from the sea" "flew" past. And when I approached the gate, I got such an overlay: the wind is blowing around, but I stand and can not do anything. Because of this mistake, Polina Firsova traveled right around the gate. In the second and third races, I did not take any chances and just went where there is more wind. In the end, everything worked out. ”

At the end of Saturday, Anna scored 23 points and ahead of the world champion among juniors Muscovite Yana Reznikova. For a 16-year-old athlete, the fresh wind is not very convenient, although on the eve she admitted that she really wants to try her hand at good speeds. However, three fifths of the parishes threw Jan into third place. And to win back from Anna four points, which are now shared by the athletes, for one remaining race it will be extremely difficult – almost impossible.

“Now the girls are attracted to Stefania, and in some weather they even compete with her,” said Victor Ayvazyan. – This is very nice: there is hope that in the future someone else will grow from the stars. The guys also have very strong competition, and young people are getting better. Here and now the first three stood out very strongly – Askerov, Aivazyan and Burmistrenko. They will play medals among themselves. ”

The intrigue in men spun to the limit. After four races held on Saturday, Alexander Askerov took the lead – he has 19 points. Two points more – Vladislav Burmistrenko, three points – Eugene Ayvazyan. In fact, before the medal race, for which double points are awarded, the guys are in an equal position. And the champion of Russia will be the one who can better tune in for one remaining start.

      Gold and two silver!
Great news from Italy: Valeria Garashchenko won the gold championship and two silver medals of the European Championship in kiteboarding. Congratulations from Yacht Russia!

Gold and two silver!

Here is what the press service of the Russian youth team said: “In Europe, the European kiteboarding championship and European championship came to an end in Sardinia. From the first day of the competition, the Russian athlete Valeria Garashchenko showed excellent results, competing with the best kiteboarders in Europe.

“I just don’t believe that the European Championship is over! We had 5 racing days, one of which was dedicated to the team standings. A total of 19 races were held for each fleet. As a result, I became the first among girls under 19 and the second among European athletes. At the same time, my coach and I managed to get silver in the team event. It was unexpected! ”- Valeria shared in social networks with her subscribers. But, especially for our readers, the young athlete, in a short interview, talked about how this victory was given to her and about the "pitfalls" that racers faced during the regatta.

– Valeria, judging by the results – the first days of the European Championship and Championship were not easy, but we note that the results are decent. What were the difficulties?

– The water area was unknown to us – we came to Thor Grande (Oristano) for the first time. On the first and second day I had very unstable congregations – in the top five or top ten … In my opinion, even the twentieth came in some races! The wind was set, unstable, and the gusts came very sharp. In addition to weather conditions, algae that clung to hydrofoils brought difficulties. I also want to note that all the girls are very strong. It was possible to lose not just because of a fall, but even if you didn’t start in a clean wind, you immediately fly out of the top ten, because it’s hard to compete.

– In your video on social networks, you also said that you and the coach took second place. You were very happy about this, because it was the first time in this discipline! How did you like them so much, what is their feature?

– Yes, on the third day, my coach and I, Alexei Chibizov, decided to participate in the team event, and I was very surprised at our result. This is a new and very interesting format that will be at the Olympics! Here the race lasts less than eight minutes, they are held several in a row. This is superemotional! You are worried about how you will perform, try to do everything at maximum. At the same time, you don’t know how your teammate will speak, and you worry about him so much, you’re sick, you’re watching. Particularly exciting is the moment when he finishes, and you must start at that moment.

– Team races motivated you? After all, after them, your results have improved.

– I think this partly influenced the two final days, because yesterday I went all day very well. True, in the last stretches before the very finish I fell, caught grass, and there were blockages. I was worried, of course, on the fourth day of the races … Nevertheless, today I got together and perfectly skated. In three races I came in second, and in the last I was third. I tried to follow the winds, took good starts – this greatly affects the result. The day was great! The result of the competition was unexpected for me, but finally I managed to break out into the top 3! Now ahead is the fourth stage of the World Cup. Honestly, I’m already set up! "

      Maksimkin and Ivanova have gold!

On Tuesday, September 10, in Togliatti, on the basis of the Druzhba yacht club, the Russian championship in the Optimist class was completed. The winners were Muscovites Artyom Maksimkin and Alisa Ivanova.

Maksimkin and Ivanova have gold!

On the final day of the regatta held on the Kuibyshev Reservoir, the wind force was 5-7 knots. During the races, at times the wind died down, but immediately gained momentum again. Stable wind conditions allowed the organizers to hold two races in all fleets.

“Optimists” are the youngest athletes in sailing, but at the same time the most ambitious, ”says Vladimir Lyubomirov, president of the Optimist Class Yacht Association. – The championship of Russia is the start, where they can get the title. Racers value this title and are proud of it. At the same time, this is the first race of the new season, which is qualifying for the World Cup and Europe. On the one hand, this regatta is the end of the year, and on the other, the beginning of a new cycle, which gives it even more importance and tensions.

In the struggle for gold, sensations did not happen. Despite the 10th arrival in the 10th race, the athlete of the Vodnik Sailing Club Artem Maksimkin won a landslide victory. Thanks to the ejection of the unsuccessful 10th parish, Artem scored 10 points and was 22 points ahead of the closest pursuer Kirill Shunenkov (Academy of Sailing)! Andrei Sotnikov, another Academy driver from the Rautu DSPK, closed the top three winners. He has 48 points.

“No matter how strange it may sound, the most difficult was the first day when we were kept on the water for a very long time, but then we were given a race,” says Russian Championship winner Artem Maksimkin. – I had to wait every second for the race, because the wind either came, then again calmed down, the distance was often changed. It was difficult to prepare yourself for the race. Then I plan to go to the World Cup, I will prepare for it, I will go to the training camp in Garda or in Turkey. In the future I would like to get into the Russian Olympic team. ”

In the women's standings on the last day there was a change of leader. Alisa Ivanova from Vodnik managed to get ahead of Marina Babkina, an athlete of the Academy of Sailing. In the final race, Marina lost the race, which allowed her rival to become a leader and win a gold medal. Varvara Yuryeva (Water Sports Center, Gelendzhik) finished in third place.

In the standings of the younger youths, Dmitry Eremin from Krestovsky Island became the best. Despite his young age, the rider came eighth in the overall standings and ahead of many more experienced participants in the championship of Russia. The first place among the younger girls was taken by Dina Zhilkina (PC "Vodnik").

In total, 303 riders from 16 regions of Russia took part in the competitions.

According to the VFPS website, in the Kadet class, Nury Khidyrov and Alexander Shevchenko (Chelyabinsk Region) won a landslide victory, 8 points ahead of their closest pursuers. Among the girls, Kristina Vasilyeva and Elena Elyasina (Samara Region) excelled.

In the Zoom 8 class, only additional indicators helped to determine the gold winner: Daniil Serdukov (St. Petersburg) and Philip Vylegzhanin (Moscow) completed the competition with an equal number of points – 34 each. Gold – at Serdukov.

Among juniors, Maria Tsallagova (Moscow) became the champion.
