They didn’t reach the gold
"Russian heroes" – Igor Rytov, Anton Sergeyev and Konstantin Besputin – from those teams that always confirm their class. So at the European Championships in the Melges 20 class, which ended today in Malcesine on Lake Garda, they climbed the podium.

True, the Bogatyrs did not reach gold this time – they are in second place, gaining 36 points in 10 races: arrivals 2 – 2 – 3 – 5 – 1 – 8 – (19) – 1 – 9 – 5.
On the first, the hosts are the Italian Brontolo Racing crew with skipper Filippo Pochinotti (29 points). In their native waters, this team took the lead from the first day – and so did not let anyone come forward.
The Italians also had the third championship result – Caiprinha Jr team with skipper Alessandro Agostinelli (66 points). Behind them are Russotrans of Yuri Morozov (84). On the 7th place is Nika by Vladimir Prosikhin (104).
Recall that 37 crews took part in the regatta, including 13 under the Russian flag. At the same time, Alex Team Alexander Mikhailik and Red Wings Sergey Kuznetsov took second and third places in the Corinthian division.
