      Tavatuy resigned
      Alas, nothing lasts forever: the Russian Tavatuy, Pavel Kuznetsov, the 2018 world champion in the Melges 32 yacht class, has resigned. At the 2019 World Cup, which ended yesterday in Valencia (Spain), the team took only 7th place with 30 points.

This is probably largely due to the weak winds that dominated the days of the regatta in Valencia. The team adapted to these conditions for a long time, and the old Tavatuy, by and large, we saw only on the last day of the championship, when we managed to win the final race. But all the parishes of the Russians: (15) – 13 – 3 – 8 – 5 – 1.

The new world champion was the German La Pericolosa Christian Schvorera – 17 points. The Italian team Calvi Network Carlo Alberini (21 points) and the Norwegian Pippa Lasse Pettersson (also 21) also climbed the podium.
