Create an Association!
Today, the North West Association ORC has distributed the following press release:
“On March 2, the Presidium of the All-Russian Union of Federal Service of Foreign Trade adopted a new Regulation on the recognition of classes. Under the terms of the new Regulation, every class in the territory of Russia must have an association of the class.
Due to the fact that at the moment the only public organization representing the ORC class in Russia is the “Association of the North-West ORC Class”, the Association temporarily assumes the functions of the managing organization of the class, and
at the same time appeals to all interested individuals and organizations with a proposal to create an all-Russian class association.
The ORC North-West Class Association was founded in 2018 in St. Petersburg. The objectives of the Association include the promotion of the ORC class, the development and implementation of recommendations for the competition and the organization of the ORC Cup.
The Association developed recommendations that are used when organizing regattas held in St. Petersburg, as well as the “Open Cup of St. Petersburg in the ORC 2018 yacht class”.
The plans of the Association for 2019:
– carrying out activities to promote the class;
– holding of the “Open Cup of St. Petersburg in the class of yachts ORC 2019”;
– preparation of work on the creation of the “All-Russian Association of ORC class”.
