This is how are Russians. The sum of five races, Daniil Krutskikh – 22nd in “Laser standard”: 79 points, parishes 21 – 10 – 21 – 27 – (29). Today

      Five races held
Not far from Melbourne – in Port Phillip Bay – the Australian Championship continues in the Laser Standard, Laser Radial and Laser 4.7 classes. 273 yachtsmen from 17 countries take part in the regatta, including a group of Russians – these are representatives of the Krestovsky Ostrov Sailing School, headed by coach Vladimir Krutskikh.

Five races held

Three races took place today – and the conditions were, let's say, non-standard for the Australian summer: the air temperature hardly rose to 13 degrees. This is all the more surprising since almost the entire continent is languishing these days from the most severe heat.

This is how the Russians perform. By the sum of the five races held, Daniil Krutskikh is the 22nd in the Laser Standard: 79 points, arrivals 21 – 10 – 21 – 27 – (29). Women in “Laser Radial” Yekaterina Zyuzina in 56th place – 88 points, arrivals 28 – 16 – 19 – 25 – (30), Maria Kislukhina – 68th, 120 points, arrivals 25 – (37) – 31 – 33 – 31, Alexandra Lukoyanova – 74th, 142 points, arrivals (39) – 36 – 38 – 39 – 29.

Recall that the Australian Championship will last until January 8 inclusive.

      Ahead – three decisive races
Four races of the European Grand Prix Final were held yesterday in Puerto Portals in Mallorca – a new tournament that concludes the 2019 season in the Dragon class.

Recall that the top 20 crews are participating in the regatta following the results of a prestigious series of four Grand Prix stages (this series, as we reported yesterday, was won by Dmitry Samokhin, Russian yacht RUS76 Rocknrolla).

True, it will be more accurate to say – "participated". Because after four races yesterday, only ten will continue the fight. And among them – two teams under the Russian flag. Rocknrolla Samokhina finished the day in 4th place, RUS27 Annapurna of Anatoly Loginov – in 10th.

At the same time, the winner of the Friday races was also not a stranger to our team, but acting under the Italian flag – ITA77 Bunker Prince Eugene Braslavets. Thanks to this, the team received the right to perform in the final of the regatta, bypassing the quarter-finals and semifinals.

The second place following the results of Friday was taken by the German crew GER1207 Khalleesi, where the skipper is Nikola Friesen. This allowed the team to go straight to the semifinals.

The remaining eight “Dragons” today, on the decisive day of the regatta, will start the fight from the quarter-finals. And may the strongest win. But, of course, I want the Russian to be the strongest!

Yesterday

The last races of the season in the Baltic
Today in St. Petersburg will be the first race of the national championship in sailing in the class of yachts SB20. Starts in the Gulf of Finland will be the last official competitions of the Russian calendar in the Baltic.

The last races of the season in the Baltic

A large number of regattas, held both in Russia and abroad, allows riders in good shape to approach the main starts of the season. And in the SB20 class, this year it has traditionally turned out to be saturated. Club races, international regattas, stages of the Cup of Russia and other competitions practically non-stop follow one by one, successfully complementing each other.

So, the national championship was preceded by the open championship race of St. Petersburg, which was attended by many Moscow yachtsmen. The entire pedestal, however, remained with the Petersburgers: the crew of Daniil Banayan celebrated the victory, the teams of Igor Ginzburg and Arsen Chubarkov, respectively, took second and third places. The opportunity to compete for the prize places was sadly missed by the riders from the B-Team, who were able to perform only in the second part of the competition, but at the same time showed themselves perfectly, having won in four races in a row.

“Another feature of the current championship of Russia, in addition to the one held on the eve of the championship of St. Petersburg, was the Hugo Rocha Clinic, which harmoniously blended into the series of autumn events,” says Natalia Fedorova, executive director of the SB20 National Yacht Association. – This year there were significantly more clinic participants than in the past, which testifies to the desire of our riders to improve their skills. It's nice that Hugo himself will take part in the Russian Championship as part of the team of Alexei Semenov. ”

In the international regattas of the past season, we note the successful performance of the winners of the winter series in Cascais – athletes from the MST helmsman Vasily Grigoryev, as well as the team of Igor Ginzburg, who (along with other high results) won the regatta in French Hyeres. Noteworthy is the “bronze" of the AM-RUSARC team (steering Anastasia Morozova) at the Grand Slam stage in Cause (England).

In October, the country's leading teams will travel to France to participate in the World Cup. Some of them are already in Hyères, where the French championship in the SB20 class is taking place this week. We wish our athletes good luck in racing!

      Final races begin
At the championship of Russia in the class "Optimist" in Togliatti, qualification was completed. According to the results of 5 races, the athletes were divided into 4 fleets – “gold”, “silver”, “bronze” and “green”.

Final races begin

Today in Togliatti a series of final races of the championship of Russia in the Optimist class starts. 303 riders will compete in four fleets. In the "golden" fleet were 70 riders.

“Despite all the difficulties with the wind, we managed to qualify. On the first day, due to a weak and unstable wind, we had only one race in all fleets. On Saturday, the wind was more stable and fresh, which allowed to give all four races. We see what a strong struggle ensued in each of the fleets; the guys arrived in Tolyatti very well prepared. The Russian championship is the result and the result of training athletes for the entire season, ”said the chief judge of the competition, Vadim Mechanikov.

The athlete from the Vodnik Sailing Club Artem Maksimkin, who successively won two prestigious regattas – the Sochi Yacht Club Cup and the Association Cup, proves his level at the Russian championship. After five races held, he leads with five first arrivals. One point to him is inferior to the racer of the Academy of Sailing and DSPK "Raut" Andrey Sotnikov. In third place with seven points – last year's winner of the championship of Russia Danila Ivanov ("Krestovsky Island").

“I am a heavy racer, and it’s not easy for me to go into such a wind, I like the fresh wind more. The water area is cool, the rivals are strong, I like the fact that constant calls and you can play in the corners, ”shared the athlete Andrei Lavrov (St. Petersburg,“ Krestovsky Island ”).

Among the girls, the lead is held by Marina Babkina, an athlete at the Academy of Sailing (13 points). Four and seven points, respectively, are inferior to her by Alisa Ivanova (PK Vodnik) and Arina Bratashenko (SSHOR No. 9, Azov). In the standings of the youngest youths, the first place is occupied by Dmitry Eremin from Krestovsky Island, the second – Ilyas Yakhin (Yacht Club Druzhba, Tolyatti), and the third – Artem Cherpita (CSKA). Among the younger girls, Dina Zhilkina (Vodnik) leads. Following her are Julia Naimushina (Academy of Sailing) and Eva Turkina ("Krestovsky Island").

“Today the wind was stronger, and I, as a rather heavy racer, was easier. We in Kazan do not have such a trend as in Togliatti. Our water area is more closed, therefore there are much less calls. It’s interesting here, ”said Diana Sadykova, a young racer from Kazan.

Today starts the final series of races. The most powerful young racers in the "golden" fleet at these competitions are fighting for the right to represent Russia at the most important international starts – the championships of Europe and the world.

Olga Sidorovskaya

press service of the All-Russian Association of the class "Optimist"

In the Zoom 8 class, leadership in the absolute and among juniors is held by Galina Pavlova (Samara Region) – 9 points. Among the young men, the best is Daniil Serdukov (St. Petersburg) – 10.

In the "Cadet" class, in the first position Nury Khadyrov with Alexander Shevchernko (Chelyabinsk region) – 4 points. Among the girls, Kristina Vasilyeva / Elena Elyasina (Samara Oblast) lead – 14.

The first races took place at the Russian Championship in sailing in international classes
The first days of the Russian Championship in international classes do not please riders with a fresh and stable wind. The day before, the organizers did not have a single race. Today's racing day could also not have taken place, but towards evening, the wind still appeared on the water area of the Neva Bay of the Gulf of Finland and the athletes entered the water. A variable and unstable wind with a force of 4 to 6 knots even allowed the organizers to conduct two races in each of the classes.

The first races took place at the Russian Championship in sailing in international classes

“We thought that if nothing blew out at 15.00, then we will postpone the race until tomorrow, but implicitly kept in mind the thought:“ What if something happens! ”Says the main judge of the competition Vladimir Komel. – When the unstable south wind of 4 knots began to work, we decided to give the riders a command to go out to the water for the first time to feel the water area. I must say that we guessed right. Yes, the wind was not very strong, constantly changing direction, but nevertheless we managed to conduct two races at all three distances. This was done primarily for the riders themselves! "

The first to return to the shore were athletes of the "red" distance, where windsurfers were chasing. Fatigue was visible on the faces of the guys – they were clearly not just given the race in calm. In such weather conditions, the athletes had to pump up a lot, and the first place was not technical skills, but physical power.

In the Techno class, under the age of 15, the sailing Academy athlete Maxim Lukyanov was the best at pumping, showing the third and second arrivals. Behind him are the athletes from Sevastopol – Dmitry Nesterenko (five points) and Nikita Nezhentsev (six). In the age category up to 17 years old Danila Dineev from Meleuz twice came first and became the absolute leader. At an older age, the leader is the windsurfer from the Moscow "SSHOR No. 26" Ivan Efimov, who scored three points. Andrey Spiridonov (Academy of Sailing, five points) and Alexey Efremov (Krestovsky Island, six points) catch up with him in the standings.

In the RS: X Olympic class, under the age of 21, Anton Tokarev from Moscow “SSHOR No. 26” and Yegor Zhilin, an athlete from the Academy of Sailing and the Krestovsky Island, compete for leadership. In the table of windsurfers, two points are divided. In the U-19 standings, Sochi racer Konstantin Kochkonyan (three points) comes first.

The championship of Russia in the class "Nakra 15", in fact, is held in a match-flight format. Two mixed crews from the Rostov Region entered it – Nikolai Goryainov / Evelina Milvit and Anastasia Mayorova / Dmitry Pipnik. From this race, of course, benefit in entertainment. So far, the Goryainov / Milvit crew, having won both races, is succeeding in a full-time duel.

At the same distance with “Nakram 15” sailors in the “29th” class are chasing, where on the first day there was a slight surprise. The favorites of the Russian Championship in international classes and one of the best domestic young crews – Ilya Chuprina / Rodion Brovin from the Academy of Sailing – after winning the first race came 16 in the second. According to the results of the first race day, the athletes are on the eighth line, but the guys are clearly able to clear the gap in the next races. The female crew of the SSHOR Khlebnikovo, Daria Matrosova / Albina Denisova, leads. Only one point behind him is the riders from Krestovsky Island – Maxim Bondar / Danila Roerich and Victoria Liksanova / Polina Pereshivkina.

In the 420 class, crews from the Krasnodar Territory and the Moscow Region detached from competitors – Mikhail Sakhovsky / Igor Malyavsky (six points) and Denis Lepin / Mikhail Karelin (seven). In the group of pursuers are sportsmen of the Academy of Sailing Anastasia Deryagina / Sofya Vereshchagina (third place) and Pavel Baryshnikov / Dmitry Yakobson (fifth place).

“In the morning there was no wind, we were released only in the evening, so everyone was slightly exhausted,” says Pavel Baryshnikov. – The wind was average, working.

Our parishes are normal – tenth and ninth, but still weak. Class "420" depends on the setting much more than on the level of knowledge. You can set up the yacht very well, and a lot will depend on it. In other boats, the tuning is not as much affected as in 420 and subsequent classes. ”

The largest class of the Championship of Russia in international classes is “Laser 4.7”. For the victory in this discipline immediately compete 95 riders. Before each race day, athletes are randomly divided into two fleets. After the qualification, they will form a “golden” and “silver” fleet (48 – “golden”, 47 – “silver”) and will be chased directly by the fleets.

After the first day, the Krestovsky Island athletes lead the qualification in the Laser 4.7 class. In the first place is Dmitry Golovkin, and only one point behind him are Peter Pashutinsky and Maxim Shaposhnikov.

“Today I have two second parishes,” says Maxim Shaposhnikov. – I'm not the first, but the most stable. I like “Laser” because of the promising classes this one is the only loner. When you are racing in a carriage, success depends not only on you. Alone, it all depends on you – and trouble, and victory. I can win the Championship of Russia – I have every chance. "

Based on the results of the competition, the national teams will be determined in the appropriate classes, which will represent Russia at international regattas in 2020.

Yesterday

      Already tomorrow – medal races
In the yachting center on the Japanese island of Enoshima, where the Tokyo Games sailing regatta will be held in 2020, pre-Olympic test competitions are continuing, in which many of the strongest sailors on the planet take part.

Already tomorrow - medal races

The denouement is getting closer: tomorrow morning, on Wednesday, there will be medal races in five disciplines – 49er, 49erFX, Nacra 17 and RS: X in men and women. The Russians are represented in the last two, so let's start with the sailing board.

RS: X, women. According to the results of 11 races, Stefaniy Elfutin – in fifth place (56 points). It’s impossible to reach gold (Chinese Liu Yongxiu has 34 points now), but getting into the top three is real. But, of course, for this you need to perform perfectly in the medal race and hope that rivals from Israel, France and the UK will not be so successful.

Detailed Results –

RS: X, men. Here, alas, nothing shines for us. Before the medal race, Alexander Askerov is in 21st place (with 24 participants). The future winner, not particularly afraid of making a mistake, is the Chinese Gao Menfang, who is 16 points ahead of the Frenchman Tom Goyar.

Now – detailed results in the other three disciplines, where medal races will also take place tomorrow and where there are no Russians.

In five more disciplines, as you already know, medal races will take place on Thursday. Here, of course, we are most interested in the situation in the 470 class for men. After 8 races held, Pavel Sozykin and Denis Gribanov go, as before, in fifth place – 54 points. Unfortunately, the first three crews are very far away: the third-ranking Spaniards Jordi Xammar and Nicholas Rodriguez have 25 points. But the situation, Pavel and Denis can still be corrected on the last day of the final races.

Only two races in two days

Yesterday in Sakaiminato (Japan) began the race of the world championship in the class "Laser-radial" for both women and men.

Only two races in two days

True, the regatta is of no interest to men. 32 yachtsmen participate in it, but only 6 of them are foreigners, the rest 26 are local, Japanese.

So in the future we will talk primarily about women's competitions. 111 representatives of the fair sex are fighting for the title, who, most likely, are now wondering: why did Japan meet them with such weather conditions? With the wind, really, really bad. For two days, managed to hold only two races.

Russia in Sakaiminato represent Ekaterina Zyuzina and Valeria Lomatchenko. The more experienced Zyuzina started the championships with the 17th and 36th parishes and with 57 points takes the 57th place. Less experienced Lomatchenko on Saturday finished the 55th, but on Sunday it was the 15th. After two races, she has 70 points and 73rd position.

I want to believe that things will go further. We cheer for ours!

As for the leaders, now the Swede Yoselin Olsson is ahead – she has the 1st and 2nd parishes and, accordingly, 3 points.
