Five races held
Not far from Melbourne – in Port Phillip Bay – the Australian Championship continues in the Laser Standard, Laser Radial and Laser 4.7 classes. 273 yachtsmen from 17 countries take part in the regatta, including a group of Russians – these are representatives of the Krestovsky Ostrov Sailing School, headed by coach Vladimir Krutskikh.
Three races took place today – and the conditions were, let's say, non-standard for the Australian summer: the air temperature hardly rose to 13 degrees. This is all the more surprising since almost the entire continent is languishing these days from the most severe heat.
This is how the Russians perform. By the sum of the five races held, Daniil Krutskikh is the 22nd in the Laser Standard: 79 points, arrivals 21 – 10 – 21 – 27 – (29). Women in “Laser Radial” Yekaterina Zyuzina in 56th place – 88 points, arrivals 28 – 16 – 19 – 25 – (30), Maria Kislukhina – 68th, 120 points, arrivals 25 – (37) – 31 – 33 – 31, Alexandra Lukoyanova – 74th, 142 points, arrivals (39) – 36 – 38 – 39 – 29.
Recall that the Australian Championship will last until January 8 inclusive.
