      The convincing victory of the Russian team RUS 76 ROCKNROLLA Dmitry Samokhin in Puerto Portals in Mallorca on Sunday ended the third stage of the traditional Winter Series in the Dragon class, in which more than 50 teams took part.

Over the three stages that took place in December, January and the vefrale, 11 races were carried out, and ROCKNROLLA (steering – Dmitry Samokhin, crew – Andrey Kirilyuk and Casper Kharsberg) scored 31 points in them (with one throw). Due to the weak wind, only 4 races were held at the last stage.

Recall that in December 5 races were held, and in January, in connection with the calm on one day and the hurricane on the other, only 3.

The Rocknolls' significant advantage over their closest rivals can be judged by the fact that the British GBR 819 FEVER Klaus Diderichs, who took second place, behind the winners by 46 points, and the Swedish SWE 401 NONO Martin Palsson (third place) – by 60.

On the 5th position of ITA 77 BUNKER PRINCE, Eugene Braslavets – 115 points. On the 12th RUS 34 TO BE CONTINUED Vasily Senatorov – 194. On the 16th – RUS 31 INTEGRITY Mikhail Senatorov – 202. Finally, on the 27th – RUS 27 ANNAPURNA Anatoly Loginov – 291.

      Weather conditions did not allow today, on the third day of the second stage of the traditional Winter Series in the Dragon class, which takes place in Puerto Portals in Mallorca, to hold a single race.

Thus, the crew of the yacht RUS 76 ROCKNROLLA, headed by Dmitry Samokhin (Andrey Kirilyuk, Casper Kharsberg), was declared the winner of the stage. By the sum of the previous two days of the regatta and the seven races held, “Rocknoll” scored 14 points, arrivals (4) – 2 – 1 – 4 – 2 – 2 – 3.

Recall that the advantage of the team on Saturday (which turned out to be final) was overwhelming: the second medalist – German GER 16 INGRID Dirka Pramanna – was behind 27 (!) Points.

On the 6th place of ITA 77 BUNKER PRINCE Evgeny Braslavets – 53 points. On the 8th – RUS 34 TO BE CONTINUED Vasily Senatorov – 56. In total, 52 crews took part in the regatta.

      In first place – Samokhin’s crew
      In Puerto Portals in Mallorca, the first stage of the traditional Winter Series in the Dragon class took place. 40 crews took part in the regatta, including several crews from Russia.

The first place in five races (with one shot) took RUS 76 Rocknrolla with skipper Dmitry Samokhin (Casper Kharsberg, Andrey Kirilyuk) – 9 points. Grant Gordon, the British GBR 820 Louise Racing, was two points behind.

In 7th place RUS 34 To Be Continued Vasily Senatorova – 33 points. On the 19th RUS 31 Integrity of Mikhail Senatorov – 74 points.

In total, 40 crews took part in the regatta.

      The only race of the day was won by Samokhin
      On the third day of the IV stage of the European Cup in the Dragon class, which takes place in Puerto Portals in Mallorca, one race was held. I won it, as you already know, Dmitry Samokhin at RUS76 Roknrolla.

By the sum of three days and five races held (with one surge), the Samokhin team (Casper Kharsberg and Andrey Kirilyuk) takes second place in the table – 17 points, arrivals 1 – (13) – 2 – 13 – 1.

The NED412 Troika is still the leader of the famous Dutch skipper Peter Heerem. But now the backlog of “Rocknolls” is only 2 points.

P.S. A strong wind did not allow on Thursday a single race. So the results that we published are final. Roknrolla took second place.

      Another victory of Samokhin
      In the list of achievements of the dragon player Dmitry Samokhin, who, recall, is one of the nominees for the 11th National Award “Yachtsman of the Year”, it's time to add another line.

The “submission” of Samokhin, claiming along with two other nominees for the title of the best yachtsman in the country, says:

“In 2019, he won the Champions Champions race held in San Remo as part of the anniversary regatta in honor of the 90th anniversary of the Dragon class. Won the Marblehead Cup. First place at the Hans Detmar Wagner Cup on Lake Garda and first place at the German Grand Prix. "

And now – another significant success. Yesterday, in Puerto Portals in Mallorca, Rocknrolla skipper Dmitry Samokhin was awarded the cup for winning the new Dragon class and, I must say, a very prestigious series of four Grand Prix stages. Congratulations from Yacht Russia!

As we already said, the last of the four stages ended yesterday just in Puerto Portals. Samokhin’s team took the second place in the regatta, but this was enough to become the winner in the sum of all tournaments.

Moreover, Samokhin has a chance to win another title. Because today and tomorrow, everything in the same Puerto Portals will host the Grand Prix finals, in which the top 20 dragons will perform following four stages (including five Russians!). Moreover, the race will be on the fly.

After a few – today – there will be a "magnificent ten." Then tomorrow will be the quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals, which will determine the champion.

      In Puerto Portals (Mallorca) ended the European Grand Prix Final in the Dragon class. Team RUS76 Rocknrolla Dmitry Samokhin in the decisive race finished third.

On the final day of the regatta, three races were held – quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals. Such competition regulations for the Dragon class are unusual, but, in the general opinion, it turned out interesting, and the struggle was exciting.

Recall that on Friday out of 20 participants in the Grand Prix Final, four races left ten. At the same time, Evgenia Braslavets, who was flying the Italian ITA77 Bunker Prince flag, who became the best in terms of points, immediately got a ticket to the finals, and the German crew GER1207 Khalleesi, who took second place, where the skipper was Nicola Friesen, went to the semifinals.

The rest – 8 teams – on Saturday began with the quarter finals. Rocknrolla took 5th place in it – the last of those that allowed to get into the semifinals. Another boat under the Russian flag – RUS27 Annapurna by Anatoly Loginov – became the 6th, and, alas, completed the fight.

In the semifinals, Samokhin’s team came to the finish line first. It is a pity that this success could not be repeated in the final. The bottom line is: Rocknrolla – in third place, in second – Bunker Prince of Braslawiec. The winner was the Swiss SUI311 Sophie Racing skippers Hugo Stenbeck and Bernardo Freitas.

On the final day of the regatta there were three races – the quarterfinals, semifinals and finals. Similar regulations for the “Dragon” class unusual, but the General view was interesting, and the struggle was exciting.

Recall that on Friday of the 20 finalists of the “Grand Prix” at the end of the four races, ten. While serving under the Italian flag ITA77 Bunker Prince Eugene Braslovce that has the total points of the best, immediately got a ticket to the final, while the runners-up German crew GER1207 Khalleesi where the skipper Nicola Friesen, in the semifinals.

The remaining 8 teams on Saturday began with the quarter-finals. Rocknrolla took the 5th place is the last one that was allowed to pass to the semifinals. Another boat under the Russian flag – RUS27 Annapurna Loginov Anatoly became 6th, and the fight, alas, completed.

In the semifinals, the team Samokhina came to the finish line first. Sorry, this success failed to repeat in the final. The bottom line is: Rocknrolla – third place on the second Bunker Prince of Braslava. The winner was the Swiss SUI311 Sophie Racing skippers of Hugo Stenbeck and Bernardo Freitas.
