      “Russian heroes” – the winners of the Melges 20 World League!
      In Miami, the first stage of the Miami Winter Series-2019/20 in the Melges 20 yacht class took place. At the same time, it was the last – 15th – stage of the 2019 Melges 20 World League. And the winner of the World League became Russian Bogatyrs, led by Igor Rytov!

This time, “Bogatyrs” performed in Miami with Rytov, Konstantin Besputin and Valery Zatsarinsky – and remained second, scoring 24 points in eight races (with one throw). Another yacht under the Russian flag – Nika Vladimir Prosikhin scored the same points. It was this team that became the winner of the stage.

      Star Sailors League finals kick off!

Tonight in the Bahamas, the Nassau Yacht Club will launch the 7th Star Sailors League finals. In the regatta on boats of the Star class, 23 crews will perform. They have to determine the main stars of sailing this year (in any case, many people think so).

At the start of SSL-2019, a whole constellation of the famous modern yachtsmen will really be released. They represent 20 countries, among which this time – unlike the previous two years – there is no Russia. Which, you see, is sad.

      Tavatuy is the second in the World League!
      The Russian Tavatuy team (skipper Pavel Kuznetsov, tactician Evgeny Neugodnikov, Alexander Patrushev, Anton Sergeev, Yegor Konyukhovsky, Konstantin Besputin, Oleg Krivov and Valery Zatsarinsky) took second place in the 2019 Melges 32 World Legue. Congratulations from Yacht Russia!

The final, fourth stage of the 2019 Melges 32 World Legue was held in Barcelona. “Tavatuy” took fourth place in this regatta, and turned out to be second in the sum of all stages, gaining 68 points. The Italian Giogi has the same amount (Matteo Balestrero), but the Russian team was given an advantage due to the fact that she became the winner of one of the stages. But the winner of the World League was another Italian team – Caprinha (skipper Martin Rentes).

Ahead of the strongest teams of the Melges 32 class is the World Championship, which will be held in Valencia on October 24-27.

      League winners
      The final of the SCL (Sailing Champions League) in St. Moritz ended.

The first, second and third places were respectively taken by the RSYS (Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron), NRV (Norddeutscher Regatta Verein) and KBL (Kaløvig Bådelaug) teams.

The best of the Russian teams – Pirogovo – in eighth place, LEV (Leviathan Sailing Team) – in 17th, the team of the Yacht Club of St. Petersburg – in 19th.

In the Swiss Alpine resort of Sankt Moritz August 15, started the final of the European sailing Champions League. Russia in the competition represented by three teams.

Among the participants are the winners of past seasons of the team from Bari (Italy), Geneva (Switzerland), twice winners League qualification in Saint-Petersburg “North-German racing Union”, the participants of Nord Stream Race 2019 – Royal yacht clubs in Sweden and Denmark.

Russia is represented by three crews. This is the team of the Moscow club “Pirogovo” which leads winner League 2017 Vladimir Lipavsky, the winners of the Nord Stream Race 2019 “Leviathan” and the young crew of the sailing Academy, he for the first time without a mentor Anna Basalkina.

On the first day of the competition managed to hold as many as four flights. For Russians, the day was not the best. While the best result “of pyrohivtsi” – 12th place; the “academics” – 18-e and “Leviathan” is the penultimate 23rd position.

      To Europe For Champions League

Russian teams started in the final of the European Sailing Champions League (SCL) in Switzerland.

On August 15, the finals of the European Sailing Champions League kicked off in the Swiss resort of St. Moritz. Russia in the competition is represented by three teams.
