Distance – 15 thousand nautical miles (about 28 thousand kilometers).

The aim of the skipper of IDEC Sport and four members of his crew (including son Francis of Korantina of Guyana) – set a new record passing distance, which in 2018 belongs to Italian, Goivanni Soldini and Maxi trimaran Maserati Multi 70, – 36 days, 2 hours, 37 minutes and 2 seconds (average speed of 17.4 knots).

We will remind that in the autumn of last year, Guion – the road to Hong Kong – has set three consecutive world record from Port-Louis in France to the town of the same name on the island of Mauritius (solo, 8800 nautical miles), from Mauritius to Ho Chi Minh city (with the crew, 3975 miles) and Ho Chi Minh city – Hong Kong (with the crew 870 miles).

The exact date and hour of the start of the IDEC Sport from Hong Kong yet to be announced. But we know that the start should take place at the end of this week.

Finish the Tea race in London, under the bridge of Queen Elizabeth II on the Thames.

      Francis Gouillon: fourth consecutive start!
On Thursday morning, the countdown to the start of the IDEC Sport maxi-trimaran, led by the famous French skipper Francis Jouillon, along the classic Tea Race route from Hong Kong to London, will begin. The distance is 15 thousand nautical miles (approximately 28 thousand kilometers).

Francis Gouillon: fourth consecutive start!

The goal of the IDEC Sport skipper and four members of his crew (including the son of Francis – Corenten Jouillon) – to set a new record for passing the distance, which since 2018 belongs to the Italian Dozhvanni Soldini and maxi-trimaran Maserati Multi 70, – 36 days, 2 hours, 37 minutes and 2 seconds (average speed – 17.4 knots).

Recall that last fall, Zhuillon – on the road to Hong Kong – set one after the other three world records: from Port Louis in France to a city of the same name on the island of Mauritius (solo, 8800 nautical miles), from Mauritius to Ho Chi Minh City ( with a crew, 3975 miles) and Ho Chi Minh City – Hong Kong (with a crew, 870 miles).

The exact date and time of the start of IDEC Sport from Hong Kong has not yet been announced. But it is known that the start should take place at the end of this week.

The finish of the Tea Race is in London, under the Queen Elizabeth II Bridge on the Thames.
