World Sailing Conference kicks off
According to the press service of the WFPS, today the annual World Sailing conference will begin in Bermuda, in which 418 delegates from 68 countries will take part.
Key decisions that will affect the future of sailing will be made throughout the week – until November 3.
Among the delegates to the 2019 annual conference are yachtsmen with experience in various sailing disciplines, event organizers, members of national sailing federations, representatives of class associations, boat manufacturers, and members of World Sailing committees.
Before the conference, 189 submissions were received (proposals, requests. – Note YR), in which it was proposed to amend the WS rules, WS policies, etc.
Expert committees will discuss submissions and present their recommendations and opinions to the World Sailing Council, the main body of the international federation.
On November 1-2, the WS Council will consider the recommendations and proposals of the committees. All decisions will be ratified at the annual general meeting on November 3.
