      World Championship 2020 canceled
      The International Sailing Federation has announced that the largest competition of the year for young athletes – the Youth Sailing World Championships – will not take place.

According to the WFPS press service, the decision was made by the leadership of World Sailing after a meeting with the organizers of the regatta and taking into account the world situation related to the COVID 19 virus and the financial consequences caused by it, restrictions on international travel and to ensure the safety of athletes, coaches, officials and volunteers.

The jubilee – 50th – world championship was to be held on December 12-19 in Salvador (Brazil).

As part of the regatta, ten sets of medals were to be played – the 29th (men and women), 420 (men and women), Laser Radial (men and women), RS: X (men and women) and Nakra 15 "(Mixed).
