Women's Champions League races will be held in Cascais
The second in the history of the Women’s SAILING Champions League regatta will be held in Portugal from October 23 to 25, Clube Naval de Cascais will take part in the race, the website http://nationalsailingleague.com reports.
The Sailing League movement is also gaining popularity among female crews.The first Women’s SAILING Champions League regatta took place in 2018 and laid the foundation for the development of the women's sailing movement in SCL format throughout the world. In Denmark, in particular, the Women on Water (WoW) project was launched. In 2019, regattas among all female crews were held in Austria, France, Germany, Switzerland, the United States and Great Britain.
Russia was provided with a wild card to participate in the Women’s SAILING Champions League 2020. Participants in the second women's regatta will be the racers of 20 National Sailing Leagues. Competitions will be held on class SB20 yachts.
