With the advantage of 7 minutes

A few hours ago at the Antigua Yacht Club, Antigua finished the first participants of the regatta, THE Caribbean 600 – the crews of the Maxi-trimarans Multi 70 Maserati (Italy) and MOD 70 Argo (USA).

While Maserati Multi 70 skipper Giovanni Soldini have set a new record passing the 605-mile race, laid among the 11 Caribbean Islands – 1 day, 6 hours and 49 minutes.

Only 7 minutes to the Italians lost to their main rivals – the MOD 70 Argo led by Jason Carroll (note that on Board during the race were two world-famous yachtsman – Briton Brian Thompson and Frenchman françois Gabaret).

The entire route two catamaran walked at an average speed of over 30 knots. Achievement MOD 70 Argo all the more surprising that even for a few hours before the start it was not clear whether the trimaran to participate in the race after flipped over during one of the final training session.
