Who will win the gold cup?
Russian Technological University MIREA, Expeditionary Corps MIREA and the B-team team launched a sports and educational project for children “RIFES COUNTRY Cup”

Who will win the gold cup?

Last Monday, the change of the children's training camp on sailing started, in which the employees of the RTU MIREA took part. The training of future boaters is conducted under the guidance of experienced athletes of the B-TEAM team, who annually take part in sailing competitions under the flag of a Russian university.

The gathering place was the yacht club at the parochial school located on the picturesque bank of the Luga River on the territory of the Alexis Church of the Man of God (Leningrad Region, Kingisepp District, Mezhniki). In this place for children will be held most of the work on the water.

The collection program is divided into several stages – it is based on theoretical and practical exercises on the water for managing a yacht, tying sea knots, working in sparring and water safety.

A separate block of the sports program will be classes in theoretical and physical training in climbing and the basics of tourism, which will be held on the basis of the Expeditionary Corps of the RTU MIREA in the village of Gakkovo, Leningrad Region under the leadership of the Kingisepp Federation of Climbing and Tourism of the IPO KFST.

No less fascinating and important part of the program will be the dedication of young people into the ranks of young men. The solemn ceremony of pronouncing the oath will be held near the fire, upon its completion the children will be given insignia – badges in the form of a red eagle and the beret “Yarmarm”.

On June 26, the shift will end with a final regatta between four teams of athletes who will be able to apply their skills in practice and compete with each other for the main prize – the title of the winner of the race and the winner of the reef countries gold cup.
