Wally Yachts joined the Ferretti Group

Been waiting for this, and it happened — the Ferretti Group has confirmed that Wally Yachts adds to the portfolio of owned brands. The official announcement will be made during the opening of the Boot Düsseldorf 2019.

Thanks to an exclusive license agreement with Wally, Ferretti takes control of a record number of brands among all players of the yachting industry with the Apennine Peninsula. Note that the agreement plus the first serious step on the way to complete the purchase of the Wally group.

Ferretti Group plans to invest in Wally Yachts in excess of €84 million over the period 2019-2022.

The bulk of the funding in the amount of €70 million expect to provide in the first two years. This should contribute to further development of the brand and also benefit in creating new products and thereby expand the model range.

New models Wally will be built in the shipyards of the Ferretti Group, primarily in Ancona.

Wallytender 48 will be the first project born in the framework of the partnership. Its premiere is scheduled for Cannes Yachting Festival 2019.

“Today required a significant investment in the development of new products, development of new markets. The Ferretti Group has a large industrial, institutional and commercial capabilities and will be able to expand our potential. I will continue my design activities on an exclusive basis, thus ensuring the continuity of the DNA. Years of effort have not been in vain. I could not wish anything better for Wally”, is filled with optimism Luca Bassani (Luca Bassani), an avid sailor and founder of Wally Yachts.

Note that Luca Bassani himself designed all the ships Wally Yachts from the Foundation of the shipyard in 1994, which is about 50 sailing yachts and more than 120 boats and motor boats.
