European championship in class SB20 in St. Petersburg postponed to 2022 and the Netherlands and Ireland selected for the world Championships in 2023 and 2024.
Yesterday held a teleconference of representatives of the world Association of SB20. In the framework of the on-line meeting, it was decided in connection with not yet ceased pandemics coronavirus infection COVID-19 to postpone previously scheduled regatta for one year .
Thus, the world championship in SB20 class will be held in Cascais, Portugal, from 29 August to 3 September 2021.
The world Cup in Singapore will be held in 2022. In the same year will be the European championship in Saint-Petersburg.
In addition, by vote selected two new locations for the world Championships in 2023 and 2024. This is Dublin and the Hague respectively.
The participants chose these locations for regattas almost unanimously. Wind conditions and characteristics of the areas doing the race in these places the most interesting and unpredictable and require good tactical skills of sailors.
I believe that the new transfers regattas will be no more.
