were winners of virtual regatta “Electronic Armada 2020”.

This regatta was organized by the Academy of sailing and the Yacht club of Saint-Petersburg, it was dedicated to the 75th anniversary of Victory in the great Patriotic war.

14 and 15 may at the regatta “Electronic Armada 2020” has determined the winners in two age categories – under 14 and under 18 years. The final series consisted of 10 races (5 races per day) with two emissions of the worst parishes. The tournament was attended by 150 racers from 34 regions of Russia. They were divided into three age groups. The race was held for six days starting on may 9.

In the age category up to 14 years throughout the regatta we watched absentia against Nikita Black and Andrew Sumenkova (both from the Academy of sailing). In the last episode they were finally able to identify the strongest full-time duel. The guys showed their best qualities during the finals, alternately forging ahead in the standings. The fate of gold medals was decided in the last race, where a little luckier bronze medalist OptiOrange 2020 Nikita Black. The victory in the 10th race provided him with the separation from Andrew on three points. Third finished another athlete Academy sailing Stepan Collectors.

“In the final virtual regatta “Electronic Armada 2020″ I had a quite strong opponent – Andrew Shanenkov, – says the winner of the tournament Nikita Black. – I have studied all of his strengths and weaknesses and was able to win due to their tactics.”

In the age group of 18 years struggle for the victory was a little more predictable. After the first five races of the final series of the athlete from Sevastopol Vasily Bogdanov pulled away from closest pursuer Paul Sobchenko from Sochi – four points. For the second race of the day Vasily kept his advantage and brought the case to victory. But the fate of the bronze medals was decided in the very last race. Due to gross mistakes of his rival Cyril Senenkove from the Academy of sailing managed to climb to third place.

“The opponents were pretty tight with me, – says the winner Vassily Bogdanov (Sevastopol, of sshor of No. 1). – Up to the penultimate race it was not clear who will be the first. Of course, compared to the first such regatta “E-sail” riders gained experience and proved to be much better. I believe that virtual regatta is the very cool, but still would like to see you soon on the water.”
