This miracle is called Fata Morgana
The yacht designer and at the same time science fiction artist George Lucian has repeatedly surprised the sailing world with his revolutionary concepts. But this time he surpassed himself, having just introduced the venerable audience to the concept of a 70-meter reinforced ice class super-yacht called Fata Morgana.
Lucian's design bureau is in Monaco, but his dreams are in the Arctic, and it is anticipated that someday Fata Morgana will plow the waters of the Northwest Passage. The super-yacht will be able to overcome autonomous sailing up to 7000 nautical miles, and on board will accommodate 12 guests and 18 crew members, including a helicopter pilot, a scuba diving instructor and, imagine, an astronomer (it is planned to place a real observatory on the ship!). By the way, there will be an outdoor pool on the deck (hopefully, with heated water).
Outwardly, Fata Morgana resembles either an iceberg or a pile of ice blocks, which is not accidental. “I wanted to come up with such a vessel, the look of which would be most consistent with the Arctic landscapes,” Lucian emphasizes. “Fata Morgana itself should make people think about climate change, which leads to the melting of real icebergs.”
And do not forget about the huge kite, which, according to the plans of the designer, will pull the super-yacht along, allowing you to significantly save fuel.
Agree, cool! Only now the price bites. The construction of the "Morgana", according to George Lucian, will cost $ 110 million.
