“This collection was very necessary!”
Gradually, athletes begin to go home from a camp in Sochi. That's what the press service of the St. Petersburg Sailing School Krestovsky Ostrov reports.
Krestovsky athlete Anna Khvorikova, multiple winner of Russian and international competitions, a master of sports in sailing, spoke a little about her impressions before leaving.
“For me, as for all athletes, this training was very necessary. In today's environment, every opportunity to exercise is important as air! In particular, here I also solved my problems, which I set after my gathering in Turkey in the spring – this is mainly working with full courses and turning the forwind.
I managed to fix the new equipment that I was learning in Turkey, here I am satisfied. I hope that competitions will be held very soon, and I will be able to show everything new that I learned.
The collection also helped to return to the previous athletic form. Basically, I didn’t stop training in physical training at home – we had a tight distance learning program at Krestovsky Island, so I didn’t lose my physical form and was at a good level. But when you see other athletes around you, it always affects the training process for the better.
For a month, I trained with Yana Reznikova and Nastya Shchedrina – good, strong athletes. It is very important to train with strong competitors. Yana well done – very quickly rolled into a weak wind and overall is going very well – it’s not for nothing that Yana is the world champion among juniors!
I am very happy about this gathering. I hope that in St. Petersburg athletes will be allowed to go into the water soon. It will be a pity to lose everything that this collection gave us. ”
