There was a chance for bronze
Before the medal race, Russian Dmitry Golovkin still takes 4th place in the world championship in the “Laser 4.7” class, which ends in Kingston, Canada.
Three final final races were held yesterday: on the account of Golovkin's 16th, 4th and 1st arrivals, and now his sum is 71 points. Turk Derin Baytur has the same amount, which is in 5th place in the table.
At the same time, the winner of the championship is already known – Italian Niccolo Nordera (you see him in the picture), who has 27 points. The Croatian Roko Stipanovich has 19 more, so in any case he will not be able to catch up with the leader. The third is Slovenian Gasper Strahovnik – 57 points, and here Golovkin can try to catch on bronze, although, of course, it will be very difficult.
The winner is also known among girls – this is Anya Von Allman from Switzerland. On the eve of the medal race, she is 23 points ahead of the nearest pursuer.
