Project coordinator Svetlana Markova told what the purpose of the project “Explore Russia sailing” is sent to Chechnya:

“Many Russians Chechnya appears to be a scorched desert with poor infrastructure. In fact it is a very green and peaceful Republic with beautiful nature, modern cities and incredibly hospitable people. The beginning of our journey to the Republic of Chechnya, will begin with the extraordinary beauty of the lake Kezenoy Am, which is the largest lake in the North Caucasus. We are very fortunate that we have the opportunity to walk on yachts in such beautiful parts of our country. Our team plans to visit the Chechen capital Grozny, a unique city that has survived during the existence of the many wars, the almost complete destruction and shock recovery. It is known worldwide and for many a symbol of courage and perseverance. 2015 brings the formidable title of “City of military glory”. Our athletes will spread their sails on the Grozny reservoir, and there we plan to hold “Open Day” for children and youth of the Republic, which will be held July 30. We will be glad to meet with children and their parents will be happy to tell you everything we know about sailing and we love him”.

Recall that in the framework of the project young sailors from St. Petersburg in 2018 visited one of the most beautiful cities of the Golden ring Uglich (Yaroslavl oblast) and lake Baikal, by 2017, the previously visited Votkinsk (the birthplace of Tchaikovsky), village of Konstantinovo, Ryazan region (Motherland of S.
