Octogenarian Swede Sven Yrvind fanatic micro cruising yachts, about which we already wrote a lot, again went to a way. And again – to New Zealand aboard his a 5.7-meter ahtoska Exlex.
However, this is not the Exlex that was two years ago – the yacht is seriously upgraded and redesigned its external form acquired, at least, more noble shape, the deck has significantly increased the area of the solar panels. Himself a sailor calls his boat The Mountain Bike of the Oceans.
But… but all the while there is not as smooth as expected. The virus forced the sailor to leave Europe earlier than he wanted, and his boat is heavily congested eight-month supply of food and utterly incapable of tacking.
Here’s what the Sven wrote recently in his blog: “I Exlex loaded with far to much food. I am a packrat. Exlex would not go to windward. Bad and dangereous. I had to be careful”.
Anyway, such a courageous stubbornness is admirable.
