From 11 to 17 August in Ekaterinburg will pass the world championship in the discipline of “match racing” venue in Verkh – Isetsky pond, provincial yacht club “Komatek”.
Ekaterinburg will host sailing teams from the following countries: Australia, USA, Czech Republic, Sweden, UK, France, Argentina, Poland, Italy, New Zealand and Japan.
Steering from New Zealand Egnot Nick Johnson (Nick Egnot-Johnson), the most famous from the list of participants of the world championship in Ekaterinburg, he is ranked 14th in the world ranking of match racing skippers.
Who can become a participant of the world championship from our country will be known in mid-summer, after the championship of Russia which will pass in Ekaterinburg from the 18th to the 21st of July.
Judges of the world championship will come from countries such as Argentina, France, Germany, Spain, Finland, India and Russia. The Chairman of the racing Commission will be the Russian judge and the technical delegate World Sailing -the representative of Portugal.
The organizing Committee of the championship headed by Vice-Governor Pavel Krekov, Vice – regional Minister of physical culture and sport, Leonid Rapoport and head of Ekaterinburg Alexander Vysokinskiy. The organizing Committee includes representatives of regional authorities, the Ministry, and the provincial of the yacht club “Komatek”.
