As we mentioned, yesterday, under the bridge of Queen Elizabeth II finished Maxi-trimaran IDEC Sport Ultime class, where skipper Francois Guyon and four crew members set a new world record Tea race from Hong Kong to London.
IDEC Sport team overcame 15873 nautical miles in 31 days, 23 hours, 36 minutes and 46 seconds, improving the previous record by Italian Giovanni Soldini Maxi-trimaran Maserati Multi 70 more than four days!
It’s safe to say that 63-year-old Guion is the most decorated among his fellow-skippers of ocean-going Maxi-trimaran. Recall that he 2017 is the owner of the Jules Verne Trophy, set numerous records (including a single crossing of the Atlantic), and in 2018, became the winner of the Route du Rhum.
The pictures that we publish are made when IDEC Sport has overcome the final mile on the Thames, and immediately after the crew left the trimaran.
