      The "heroes" won in Miami!
      Russian Bogatyrs Igor Rytov became the winners of the 2nd stage of the Melges 20 Miami Winter Series which ended on Sunday in Miami (USA).

Rytov and Co. scored 15 points in eight races (with one surge). Parishes – 2 – 3 – 1 – 5 – (6) – 1 – 2 – 1. Brilliant result!

It is worth noting that Russian Bogatyrs were leaders in the first day of the regatta, and then the second. However, before the final day of the regatta doubts involuntarily crept in. At that moment, the Bogatyrs had 17 points, and the Americans from Heartbreaker Robert Hughes had 19. At the same time, Rytov had the 6th place with the worst result, which should have ended up in the end, and Hughes the 12th !

So it all depended on three Sunday races. And the “Heroes” carried them out brilliantly: they came first, second and again first. In total, as you already know, it turned out 15 points. And Heartbreaker has 29. As they say, feel the difference.

At the same time, the final second place was taken by another team under the Russian flag – NIKA by Vladimir Prosikhin, who scored 26 points.

It is worth recalling that at the 1st stage of the Melges 20 Miami Winter Series, held in December, “NIKA” became the first, “Heroes” the second, despite the fact that both teams scored 24 points each.

The third, final stage of the series will be held March 13 – 15.
