The “Dragons” have a grand final!
The 1st Grade Regatta in the Dragon class, the Dragon Grand Prix de Cannes, starts today in Cannes.
50 crews will take part in the races, including five under the Russian flag.
It is worth noting that this year the structure of European 1st-regatta regattas is changing. Cannes will follow:
May 14. Cascais (Portugal). H.M. King Juan Carlos Trophy;
July 3 – 6. Kuhlungsborn (Germany). Dragon Grand Prix Germany;
And finally, November 11 – 16. Palma de Mallorca (Spain). Dragon Grand Prix Spain.
Immediately after this, the final tournament of the European series in the class “Dragon” will take place there, in Mallorca, in which the 20 best teams will take part in the four regattas of the 1st grade.
The winner of the European Series finals will receive a prize, the author of which is the Finnish sculptor and yachtsman Sami Salomaa.
