In the Northern capital on 21 December will be the annual awards ceremony for achievements in the field of sailing “yachtsman of the year St. Petersburg 2019”.
Nominees for the award may nominate anyone. Accepting applications on the official website of the award sailoroftheyearspb.org ends December 15.
Award “yachtsman of the year of St. Petersburg” was established by the Saint Petersburg sailing Union and the Yacht club of Saint-Petersburg and was held this year for the sixth time. The event aims to celebrate the outstanding achievements of yachtsmen of various ages, while also highlighting those who have made a significant contribution to the strengthening of Maritime traditions in the Northern capital.

The final decision of the expert jury, consisting of representatives of Saint-Petersburg sailing Union, the city Government, associations, classes, commanders of yachts clubs and yachtsmen titled.
This year the winners will be determined in the following nominations:
1. Discovery of the year
2. The yachtsman of the year (under 23 years)
3. Yachtswoman of the year (under 23 years)
4. Team of the year (under 23 years)
5. Coach of the year
6. Photo of the year
7. The best distant sports campaign
8. For contribution to the development of sailing in Saint-Petersburg
9. Team of the year (24 years)
10. The yachtsman of the year
11. Yachtswoman of the year
Accepting applications for participation in the awards is open until December 15, after which a list of candidates will be sent to members of the expert jury for voting.
In the nomination “photo of the year” this year, the winner will be selected in two stages. The first popular vote on the official awards website (sailoroftheyearspb.org). Vote on our website until December 15, 2019. Further, of the 10 jobs with the highest number of votes, the best will determine the expert jury.
The winners will be announced at a ceremony to be held on 21 December in the building of the Yacht club of Saint-Petersburg (settlement Lahta, Beregovaya str 19a). Arrival from 18.00, start 19.00 prize.
