As the press service of the WFTU on Wednesday in Tolyatti on the area of Kuibyshev reservoir was conducted the medal races of the championship of Russia in the Olympic classes, which is a qualifier for the national team.

In the main competition of the country took part 187 sailors from 32 cities of Russia. In the medal races took part in ten to the strongest in each class according to the results of the previous days of the regatta.

“The championship of Russia completed, format fully complied with: held at the Dinghy for 10 races plus the medal, the “Scythians” – 16 races – said the chief referee of the championship of Russia Anastasia Chernova. – The wind during the world Cup was good. Unfortunately, one day we were racing, but later, due to the latest stable wind, we made up for the entire program. Today day of racing began with the 470 class, the wind was about 11-12 knots. To the last start – in the class “Laser radial” – the wind increased to 17 knots. Good working weather”.

First at the start of the medal race were representatives of the 470 class. In this class, the undisputed leader Pavel Sozykin and Denis Gribanov.

“The medal race we won as everyone else – said Pavel Sozykin. – In General, the class develops, many young, but now we are much more experienced than them, so have a huge advantage. I hope everyone else will to train and reach the highest level.”

“This regatta was a good fresh breeze. We were ready for it, as for semi-months trained in similar conditions. We were better prepared, and therefore the result is obvious”.

2nd and 3rd place in the 470 class, took the crews Timothy Grigorin-Ryabov/Alexey Safonov and Borys Kucherenko Andrey Yadrin.

As predicted, women with gold leaving from Togliatti Alisa Kirilyuk and Angelica Chernyakhovskaya who consistently and by a large margin from rivals, were all the races of the championship. Crews Anastasia Shcheglova/Lyudmila Dmitrieva Ekaterina Ermakova/Polina Sukhova took 2nd and 3rd places respectively.

In the class of “Laser-standard” in all races of the championship of Russia, including in the medal, was dominated by Sergey Komissarov. 2nd and 3rd place Maxim Nikolaev and Daniil Krutskikh.

“The medal race was held in strong wind, I was ready to it, – said Daniil Krutskikh. – In the medal race I came second, I think it is very good. At points in my championship 3rd place, for me is a great result.”

In the class “Laser radial” till last day the intrigue was there, as the gap on points in the first three were small. In the end, the victory went to Maria Kisluhina, 2nd place Valerie Lomachenko, 3rd – Catherine Zyuzina.

“Could be the first! said Maria Kisluhina. But anyway before the last race was worried because the girls are all strong. We are all one level, each can win, so I understand that you can’t go wrong. In the medal race I tried to relax and not pay attention to attack the opponent”.

In a class “Finn” in the championship of Russia confidently won Arkady Kistanov: “the Plan is complete, I’m happy. For me, the championship started a little nervously because of the difficult weather conditions and due to the fact that the opponents are not allowed to relax. When the wind blew, I started to feel comfortable. Today there were no surprises, everything went according to plan.”

For 2-and 3 – place a tightly fought two yachtsman. In the medal race Eugene Deev finished second, while Egor Terpigorev third. And this result allowed Eugene to pull out a silver Egor price one point!

In classes 49-th and 49-th FX according to the rules of the competition the medal race was not today, these classes were held in the final 16th of the race.

Champions class of 49-th as expected, with isolation from the nearest pursuers in 14 points of steel, Jan Cech, Ivan Zotov. 2 and 3 places were taken by the crews of Konstantin Nosov/Alexander Gaydaenko and Denis Shcheglov/Paul Karachov.

In the class the 49th FX throughout the regatta was dominated by Zoya Novikova Diana Sabirova. Them with a lag of 15 points finished the crew of the Marina Taran/angelina Markova, 3rd place at Anastasia’s Grave with Jana Staroletova.

“Today the championship of Russia. It is a climax, when everything is solved when high passions, – said the head coach of Russian national team Natalia Ivanova. –In General, the championship of Russia went well. I have seen the guys on different wind: somewhere happy, somewhere not very. In some classes the presence of the youth, which captures the leadership position. Somewhere a small stagnation due to the large changes: introduces new Olympic classes, and some classes go. The youth in these classes just don’t go, realizing that this is the last championship, which are selected in the Olympic team. The main thing is competition, engine on a global level. Without worthy opponents are hard to self-motivate”.

Champions of Russia are:

49th – Jan Cech/Ivan Zotov

49th FX – Zoya Novikova/Diana Sabirova

Finn – Arkady Kistanov

Laser standard – Sergey Komissarov

Laser-radial – Maria Kisluhina
