At the shipyard Core Builders Composites in New Zealand a week ago launched a brand new flying catamaran F50. Build it began in may – and now the Builder is starting to test a new high-speed vessel.
As you know, catamaran F50 was designed specifically for SailGP –racing series, the first season of which was completed not so long ago and was extremely successful. The competition SailGP still attended by teams from six countries – Australia, China, France, great Britain, Japan and the United States. For who, in this case, had built a boat number seven?
It remained a secret for long. Yesterday, the owners SailGP announced (yet unofficially) that the seventh catamaran will be transferred to the team from Denmark, headed by 38-year-old Jonas hog-Christensen and silver medalist of the 2012 Olympics in a class “Finn”.
