It seems that the size of the boats of the British shipyard Sunseeker will soon grow up. At least, such conclusion can be drawn after the last during the exhibition Boot Düsseldorf presentation of the concept motor yacht with flybridge Project 8X, which will be the first sample of “a new direction in the design of the Sunseeker to the next generation of larger models.”
As far as “larger”? While it remains a mystery. It is only known that only one “beach club” on the stern on the Project 8X will be four times larger than those accustomed to Sunseeker owners. This means that there will be more space not only for leisure but also for storage of the tender and water toys. Happy owners of a Project 8X can easily afford jetskis Williams SportJet 460, jet ski and SeaBob underwater towing. There’s enough space for everything, and to take them on Board to help built-in crane with a remote control.
In addition, at the stern it is possible to install two hydraulic bathing platform size of 3.2 to 2.5 meters, self-leveling ladder, built-in BBQ, refrigerator and rain shower. Also on the sides to provide additional ladders, which in case of their uselessness — will be hidden in special compartments.
A closed cockpit will be separated from the feeding area electric blinds. If desired, you can set the bar — but on a higher level: on the open flybridge and so are full area is not only a bar, but the setting for ice cream, a sink, a refrigerator, BBQ facilities and a work area for cooking. Also it is possible to place a Jacuzzi. If the sun bakes too much, always over flybridge can be shaded by canopy.
On the nose the main deck will house a theater with 140 inch screen, a laser projector and a surround sound system. Back seats and sun canopies in this area will be equipped with electric drive.
In General, ensuring that guests boat could comfortably spend time in the air, the creators Project 8X pay much attention. Wherever possible, they provide sun beds for sunbathing, Seating and tables for dinner or lunch.
The interiors of the boats, according to representatives of the shipyard, will be simple and sophisticated — great combination of “traditional elegance with modern innovations”. Depending on how the future owners plan to use the yacht during the construction phase they can choose one of several options for the interior.
But whatever they choose, it is assumed that at night the boat can stay up to eight guests. At their disposal will be the master Suite (which occupies all the space from side to side), VIP cabin in the bow and two double cabins aft. For the five crew members have their own small galley, separate saloon and a bathroom.
According to representatives of the shipyard Project 8X will be “fundamentally different from the current Sunseeker” and — moreover — “to dictate the terms of your class in the coming years.” It is expected that the boat will lower in the year 2020.
The question remains whether the project signed in the fall of 2018, the cooperation agreement between Sunseeker and the Dutch Icon Yachts, on which the shipyard agreed for construction by 2021, the first aluminum boats of the British shipyard — a 48.3-metre Sunseeker 161.
